It has nothing to do with coaching.

Agree with your statement. I would only add that even flukes like this can create momentum and teams find a way to play with larger intensity. Something the LSU team has struggled in generating. Look at Ole Miss this year against LSU as an example.

As opposed to lining up and just actually playing them?

people thinking a 16 team playoff is a good idea need to consider this... We are already adding an extra game with a four team playoff. An SEC team now has to play 14 games to win a title, next year it will be 15 with the FOUR team playoff. An eight team playoff would mean 16 games and a 16 team playoff would mean 17 games... That's more than an NFL regular season... It ain't happening unless they did away with conference championships and/or regular season games... And we all know that's not going to happen.

Schools aren't going to allow that. I think the playoff system we already have is going to effect finals.

I think 8 to 10 teams is the max. Maybe have a wildcard type with the top two teams getting bye weeks.

Auburn basically had the luckiest play in their 100+ year history to beat Georgia.

And they only beat A&M cuz Manziel got hurt and had to come out for one drive.

Luckiest team in college football this year

Tip of the hat to AU. Amazing what happens when a football program grabs their Cajones and goes out a finds an upgrade to it's has-been, over-rated, mythical former NC head coach.

So much for the excuse: "Who ya gonna get if we fire ____________??"

Big difference in rankings though because of lucky or unlucky bounces of the ball.

No, because LSU didnt take care of business against UGA and especially Ole mrs.

Edit: oh and lets not forget the SEC "random" scheduling that gave us UGA in the first place instead of Kentucky, the team we were due to play.

Probably right, but Auburn is playing consistently better ball and beating the teams they are supposed to beat. Gus is running a tight ship and they deserve to be where they are. Unbelievable this guy was coaching high school ball not long ago (2005)

Let's hope for a 16 team playoff system soon.

Not that is matters, but LSU is better. They beat Auburn head-to-head while Auburn beat the teams LSU lost to on the road on their home field (one by a miracle).

Again, not that it matters. War Eagle this Saturday.

I don't think LSU deserves to be in any playoff. They lost three games. IF they had beat Ole Miss then we could talk. AND as of right NOW. AU is better than LSU. NOW Last Saturday we may have beaten them. But they have a MUCH MUCH better D than A & M.
