Men’s Basketball can be self sustaining. Being good at basketball wouldn’t take away from football or baseball. Now girls basketball is the one that takes money from other sports if you want to prioritize.

TJ Finley going to play 9 years, isn’t he?

That’s going to be Dr. Finley to you, sir.
Seems like the kind of guy that would rather stay at Indiana and stick it to all the schools that passed him over.

Lane is in both places

Tosh O is filling in for him.

Isiah Thomas and Tim Hardaway should have been on the team instead of Chris Mullin and Clyde Drexler

Terrible take. Clyde was a poor man's MJ and if Isiah wouldve been on the team, you wouldnt have gotten Jordan to play.

Shaq over Laettner was the only thing that wouldve made that team better.
No doubt. Kid from my local high school would’ve been an SEC signee a few years ago. Would’ve probably developed and played as a jr/sr. A number of sec schools stayed in touch with him throughout the last year or 2 but no big school offers. Most only signed half or less of their usual number of high schoolers. He ended up signing at southeastern.

, LSU ranks number 4 with only ten commits

Biggest reason this number is low, is because ole miss players are still playing. Every other coach brings half his team when going to a new place. Kiffin should be no different, especially with a lot of the staff still there.
OM will fight it and overpay but everyone knows there’s a big drop off from Kiffin/Weis to Golding. The same people propping up OM and Golding thought Deion was going to turn Colorado into something just by talking.
Stay away from Baker and Weis when you come back next year, Ole miss fans.

$30 mil in a normal season when you only need to supplement 5-10 players will be easy

This is the new normal:

you have to get 25+ players
It will also keep OM from signing a QB until its too late. Trying to sabotage LK is how they ended up with Golding and how they will end up without a QB.
All globalist organizations work against the US' best interest and want the US to fund it.

I think college did this in the absolute worst way possible, but the market will right itself. It will take 3-5 years IMO.

You have schools like Texas Tech and SMU that are hungry for relevance and finally able to compete. Unless some rules get established soon, the craziness is just getting started.

Just wait until Private Equity groups get involved and try to squeeze every penny out of it.
It still baffles me that this is what the out-of-touch left came up with to try to relate to middle class white males. He is their idea of what we would relate to. A feminine guy that suddenly starts wearing a cammo hat and maybe coached some JV football is the best they could come up with.
Why didnt OM offer him the head job instead of Golding?

They probably will in 2 years.

Absolutely hate this one. Remeber him crying at ESD because he was so excited to be a tiger. Seemed like the next hungry LA kid who was gonna emerge as a force here.

This kind of thing is going away now. High school kids will sign with big schools less and less. Truly elite guys that can contribute as freshmen only. Everyone else will have to go prove themselves at a small school and work their way up.

A kid from my local high school wouldve been an SEC signee a few years ago. Wouldve been a project and likely a starter as a junior or senior. instead he got very few big school offers and ended up at Southeastern.
He might be a higher draft prospect than expected and have no need to come back.
Over 4500 players entered the portal. Its dumb but thats what we have created.
Because there are so many teams in conferences now, the schedules are very different . So making a conference championship and even winning a conference is highly dependent on getting a good draw on the schedule. Without looking, id bet most of the teams that made conference championships had very favorable schedules compared to the rest of the conference.

This has always been the case somewhat, but its magnified when you have huge conferences. Pretty much nullifies the point in even having conferences.
If nothing changes, Its just a matter of time before every player will hit the portal every year and essentially all be free agents every year. What a circus that will be.

This is one advantage of having young kids. “Look grandma, little Suzy drew your birthday card!”
