Agreed. This was a chance to address the muzzie problem in his country but kicked the can down the road instead. They will have to at some point or just hand it over without a fight. Things will only get worse until the do.

Its true, some of the old guys had some real talent for making you feel like the game is huge. Keith jackson, Greg Gumbel, Al Michaels, etc. Now they are being replaced by former players that have name recognition, and maybe good insights on the game but not nearly as eloquent .

After the war worked at LAPD and then law school and became district attorney and led the successful prosecution of Sirhan Sirhan for the murder of Robert F. Kennedy and later appointed as an associate justice on the California Court of Appeal.

Nice back track. he literally says they talked him out of participating in it. Nothing is "made up out of thin air"as you say.
Im sure he could have insisted being the 3 time winner, but probably doesnt want to cause drama being a fringe roster player.

The question that needs to be asked is how much money is the basketball team losing by sucking. I think more than the price of the buyout so basically its just a business decision at this point.
