And at this point does it REALLY matter where teams are ranked. Check the calendar we are still in September.

Can you honestly say Bama should be ranked higher than us? Clemson was overrated, Tulane gave them fits, Arkansas sucks and maybe just maybe Georgia is overrated. Bama is good, but until LSU losses or Bama beats us we should be ranked higher than them.

The defense has shown it can be had against two of the worst offenses in the nation. There needs to be marked improvement before they head to Fla.
I agree totally. Our offense still has some work to do, which we would all expect at this time, however they are farther along than I would have guessed at this point. However the defense has disappointed and has some questions to answer. They did not do well last night against the pass and frankly were somewhat disappointing against Auburn last week. They need to get it fixed quick because UF and UGA will be supreme tests and we won't be able to rely upon the offense like last night to hold the opposition at bay.
I'm quite concerned that we are missing Pelini more than anticipated.

Why? Oh, you're one of those that believe pollsters should rigidly adhere to their preseason speculative rankings, even when the product on the field says otherwise.

Not sure they should be ranked higher, but I think they look a little more complete than us. Ultimately, I don't care where they're ranked...we'll have our chance to see who's better on the field soon enough.

Mizzou? Bama?
I hate to say it but that is a fact. That Bama team looks just like LSU did a few years ago. Right now our D looks second rate. Auburn held Miss ST to 02 pts and we gave up 24. NOT GOOD AT ALL.

Bama is definitely playing better than we are right now. Missouri may or may not be. We don't know because we haven't seen them play anybody. Same goes for Oklahoma.

I am speaking from this point.. RIGHT NOW can you justify ranking Bama higher than LSU? They appear to be the real deal but do you realize last year they were horrible and they have to work their way to the top. LSU is a proven program. South Florida was ranked #2 at one point last year. What is your logic for ranking Bama higher than LSU? LSU started the season ranked MUCH higher than Bama. So give me your logic.

The fact you put Penn St and Texas ahead of LSU makes you a huge idiot. Bama at #1? It is possible but at this point it is to early. Either way it doesnt matter and if it makes you happy to beleive it then hey BAMA is #1. Wooo.

I love it when people like yourself share your opinions with the rest of us. So teams "look" better than LSU right now. Great. But what are you using as your basis of comparison. SO far, none of those teams have shared one single common opponent.
So what the hell is your benchmark for comparing these teams? Pure subjectivity? It must be, and you're saying we're blind homers. At least the voters share our opinion that LSU is one of the best teams in the country. They don't share yours.
