i like how they're putting arches in the new Alex Box.

Pretty sure you're wrong about this.

A guy in some of my ME classes started LSU in the fall of 2002 and this was his last year to get student tickets.
You are only allowed 5 football seasons unless you are double-majoring or taking graduate level courses.
If he's neither than he didn't get tickets one season or took a year off from school.

So just because someone is a freshmen means they have never followed LSU before??????
No I never said that. It just a fact that we have become spoiled.
I would venture to say that 90% of incoming freshman have been to less than 5 games in TS before they were students.

They have to with any new campus construction. Any new campus construction (from a storage facility to the Box) has to mimic the original designs of the building in the quad per the 2003 Master Plan.

Those are an average of over 3,000 people that we could have put in there if students don’t want to come

Look I get all that, I just say IF you are dead set on taking them away, take them from the greeks who don't come/get tired at the game

Wow, the stereotyping here is unbelievable.
90% of the freshmen haven't been to more than 5 games? So basically only 500 people have? That's ridiculous considering how many people are from Baton Rouge and have gone to the games all their life.
Also, apparently if you're Greek, smart, rich, or a freshman, or old, you can't be a good fan.
I also don't know what yall saw...but people were sitting in the aisles for Ole Miss, Bama, and UGA. It's completely unfair to take tickets away from the students when so many students can't get tickets in the first place.

I'd put money on it that the same percentage of Greeks leave/don't show up as do regular students.
You've also got to remember that it is not just Greek. Any student org that applies can have group seating.
Also, there are 7 people that sit in our group of 20 that have Group Seats. We all it in the GA section. I know this happens a good bit.

You'd be surprised how many haven't been to games or have been to very few, or would be classified as "casual" tiger fans until they became students. And I did say it was a generalization...

Sure Freshmen can't get tickets, but until the upperclassmen actually use them then there's a disparity. Students need to actually GO to the games.
All 3 of your mentioned games had plenty of room in the last two sections to the east of the scoreboard.
Also, the UF game last year didn't even have 95% student attendance.

I would think that the new A.D. should have more pressing matters at hand. Another season or two like this one and there will be plenty of seats to go around. Does LSU have a LaCrosse team, btw?

I know a few students that dont' go to games because they are not able to get tickets.
Hey Alleva, why don't you go back to the old system, show up at gate with your ID and get in.
agree completely...if you want 3000 students in the seats, then let in the first 3000 that come to the gates....
FWIW, they were selling student section tickets to the general public just before the ole miss game....

I sat under the scoreboard for the Ole Miss game...and I didn't see any open seats. We looked for seats for about 10 minutes and almost had to sit in the aisle before we finally found a place to sit.

If you were a student this year and could not get a ticket to the game for free or at face value then I'm sorry, they really don't need to be in college.

I don't necessarily agree.....I have been trying unsucessfully to upgrade since 2003....

That was only because the ticket office sold 3 sections of the student tickets. Otherwise it would have been just as empty.

Yeah people were at the Ole Miss game, and credit to them, they stuck around for a while, longer than most often in that section ... BUT everyone that was there must have been in crappy moods or something because no one was happy or pumped for that game overall.
So many things wrong with this season on the fan front

at LSU? Never heard of this. From what I've seen of the new softball stadium, it doesn't look like it has arches or anything that resembles them.

ahh. thanks. what a weird looking stadium.
