"This modification to the Priority Point System will have no effect on existing ticket assignments and parking locations".
LSU isn't going to take away any tickets from anyone that already has them and redistribute to people who don't.
____________________________________________________This is the next endeavor for TAF.There are thousands of great ticket owners that pay the minumum to play.Where are the new upgraded tickets going to come from. There will be some squeezing in the near future by TAF to get some of those folks out of those big blocks of tix.

this is why I just buy tickets from someone for the games I actually want to go to

I just logged in to my account and there's a priority point ranking and a philanthropic ranking listed now.

So new tickets allotments this year are going to be based off of the philanthropic ranking as opposed to the regular priority ranking??

View the priority points system report on your TAF account & deduct the tradition fund points listed.
That difference is exactly my philanthropic point total listed on the site.

Guess there's some other things listed on yours. It worked that way for atleast 4 accounts I know.

So i'm guessing people who buy there tickets through TAF and don't pay tradition fund are golden... because my PP total is almost the same as my regular TAF total.

One of the best ideas that TAF has ever done!

they definitely took a step in the right direction. hopefully one day they will implement my idea of "if you don't use it, you lose." instead of receiving regular tickets for season tickets each seat is assigned a card much like the student ID. People could still sell their season tickets a whole but the price gouging for individual game sells would be done away with for the most part. And if they don't use that seat for a % of games TAF would reclaim that seat and put it back in the season ticket pool. There are many other small details and loopholes that would have to be packaged along with it, but I think in the long wrong it work with a better turnover. would also help eliminate the usual lower bowl empty seats.

If they do not start putting a Team back on the Field, you will not be able to give tickets away, almost there now with extras.

Totally agree. I finally got a chance to review this new system and logged in to my account to see how it affected me ... I'm very pleased.
I think a lot of the people that are complaining in this thread are confused with these changes and mis-interpreting how it may affect them. These changes are definitely great for the "average Joe" fan.
The only criticism I have is that it does not apply to bowl and postseason tickets. IMO it should, but certainly the implementation of this is a step in the right direction.
The previous system was unfair to younger/newer season ticket holders or potential season ticket holders because it gave somewhat of an unfair "head start" to people that have had tickets for a while in regards to priority point ranking.

nevermind, I called TAF and they clarified my points.

quote:Don't think so. I also have tickets through TAF but don't get any philanthropic points for my loyalty points for 9 years of having tickets w/ TAF. In the years that I ONLY donated money associated w/ tickets, I didn't get the 3 loyalty points. I'm not sure how your regular PP total and Philanthropic PP total are the same if you ONLY donated to TAF the amount required by TAF for your tickets.
So i'm guessing people who buy there tickets through TAF and don't pay tradition fund are golden... because my PP total is almost the same as my regular TAF total.

I must have been philanthropically allocating my $$.
I'm not complaining that's for sure

I have accepted a long time ago that the day will come when I will probably be priced out of my season tickets.
I'm afraid this is a very sad reality that will one day come to fruition.....Season ticket holders can only aford to pay so much.
