TM7 wasn't gonna have the same year as he had last year....the playmakers we have should make enough plays to compansate, along with a more dynamic passing game, and a defense as good as last years, and we are gonna be in Miami playing for the BCSNC.....

We all rushed to Tiger Stadium, to cheer the exploits of Honey Badger. He had his support. He had loyal fans. He had it all.

He will be missed, but he had a responsibility, maybe today he'll fulfill it. Maybe that is the final chapter.

Obviously, he took his opportunities, fans and responsibilities, for granted.

Honey Badger, we hardly knew ye........

ibleedprplngld....Sorry Bro, Mel Kiper doesn't agree with you...And those turnovers you minimize changed the momentum of a few games...Why do you think turnover margins are such a huge stat? His ball skills are unmatched by anyone on our team..

I agree, and I think thats because of a couple reasons, better linebacker play being one of them.

We will ultimately adjust but to think this isn't a big deal you are kidding yourself. Not to mention rest of the team doesn't fed off of the energy TM7 brought to the game

Did you watch the Auburn game? We were/still are fine without him. TM7 did not make or break this team. Did he contribute? Yes. Will we survive without him? Absolutely.

I'm not down sizing any of his turnovers, he did change the momentum of games many times. I'm simply saying I would have rather have lost him than any of our other play makers on D. I also doubt the defense won't create turnovers without him.

I don't feel that the loss of TM is as big of a blow as the non-tiger nation believes.

I hope you're right, but my gut tells me you are very, very wrong.

Return game will suffer somewhat, but LSU has athletes that can catch and run fast.

none of that means a thing until someone steps up and makes timely plays like TM had a knack for doing.

quote:

We all know that our season hangs in the ability to have at least a threat of a downfield passing

we have that threat at qb so the key will be how much Shep, Wright, Boone and our TE's have improved.
quote:

I don't believe people can run on us. We will force a lot of 3rd and longs.

if and only if Ego and AJ step up to the plate.

quote:

By the time we face "the best" passing attack in the sec, the secondary will have 11 games to gel.

if it takes 11 games to gel.....you can kiss natcham goodby.

The sky is still up there.

we just don't have as many stars in it. Mo, Brockers, RR and now TM7 have left a void....our three biggest playmakers and our keystone defensive lineman. our kids better grow up real fast at Lb, Db and receiver.

SEC West...maybe.
SEC Champs...maybe.
Natcham...not in the cards.

U asked.

I agree with you 100%...

There is a reason why Chief threw TM 14 out there as a Freshman...He was not a secret by his sophmore year but seem to make it to New York...when was the last Tiger to make such an impact he got an invite to New York??
Mett will have to lead us to more points scored to overcome this void...I believe he can...but to think the defensve will not feel his absence the ENTIRE year is just not accurate

i don't see how the loss of one player (minus the qb position) can make people think like this. the defensive line this year is going to be GREAT. mingo, montgomery, and logan all have tons of experience. their play will help the new guy/guy's in the secondary. if a qb is running for his life, chances are turnovers are going to happen. until someone steps up as a pr, i won't argue that he will be missed. zm might be unproven, but imo LSU now has the ability to make plays on offense, and won't have to depend on turnovers/huge punt returns like they have in the past. i could be wrong, but imo LSU is still a top 3 team.

We still have one of the best, if not the best defensive lines in the country. Someone ike Freak or Ego stepping up makes it the best D-Line in the country.

Kids step up every year, and it will continue this year.

I agree with most everything you say except the end. I believe we will win the sec again hopefully BCS because we have to replace those 4 guys, but we still bring back so much. Meanwhile Alabama has to replace so many more of their playmakers. I think we are still better than all other teams we play despite what we lost

Tm7 is a stud, but he was going to be gone to the nfl after this year or next...would people say we are doomed then?

Remember when jamarcus got hurt and an unexperienced player came in? That worked out pretty well for us. Remember when spencer ware was suspended last year and hilliard came in with no experience to dominate the rest of the season?

Big time contributors go down and we reload...this is lsu not some bull shite ole miss. Have some pride in the team and our current player people

If we have gone from SEC champs to "maybe" in the west, we've got a helluva lot more problems than just losing TM.

no doubt that TM7 will be missed, his emotion and game changing ability were huge last year....however, if this year's offense pans out as expected, it won't need big game-changing plays as much as last year's did. In addition, as Ron Brooks showed last year in the Auburn game, someone else can fill the role of game-changer. Many on here thought that PP7 leaving would be huge, it wasn't. I'll miss the shite out of Tyrann, it was like a big kick in the nuts, but I don't think the team will miss a beat.
