I watched LSU a lot this year being out here in Arkansas. I blame the demise of the defense on the head coach Les Miles. These 2 co-coordinators were in limbo all year and with Miles making some of the decisions that he made it was like they had no real identity. It is unusual, to say the least, to have an SEC coordinator move to the MWC in virtually the same position but with the cluster that Miles has created, now is a good time to get out. I am guessing that Miles will be fired at the end of next year...

I like this quote beneath the article.

I'm high and if someone told me to find a job so I didn't have to be fired I'd let them fire me and get paid the rest of my contract.

Now maybe Peveto can focus since he won't have to share duties anymore.

I'm hoping he'll focus on getting a job somewhere else.

I'm high too ... and that sentence is way too complicated for me to undertand.

Which sounds all totally awesome and badass and stuff, until you tried to get another job once your contract was up and every university/athletic dept/head coach in the country was aware of your previous douchebaggyness and you were coaching HS football in Iowa or some shite

You mean the rest of his annual contract??? If I'm not mistaken, most assistant coaches are on year-to-year contracts, and usually only the HC is on a long-term contract with a buyout clause.

Amazing how happy LSU fans are about this, and how happy NM fans appear to be.

Bobby Petrino, Nick Saban, George O'Leary, and Rich Rodriguez agree. Douchebaggyness is a trait that will not be tolerated in college football. Those losers will never get another job.

None of the coaches you listed did what you posited Mallory should do. Three of them resigned and the fourth merely lied on his resume. And I don't really have to tell you that the antics a successful head coach can get away with far exceed what a position/coordinator can, right?
