And wasn't Mallory a decent position coach?

The jury is still out on that one, although I think the answer is no.

I think our offense, Steltz, our cornerbacks, and D-line bailed out the defensive coaches last year. I thought that last year too, by the way.

but he's still the same guy who ran the most unorganized defense in the last 10 years of LSU football

Lou Tepper might have something to say about that.

Maybe someone should be a little more responsible and title the thread....Mallory to New Mexico?

No kidding. After reading yours and Randall's posts I finally read the thread. That's like sticking and pinning a thread posted here. Mallory may indeed wind up there, but LoboPete saying he's merely a leading candidate ain't diddle.

Believe me when I say that it wasn't Mallory's decision to leave.

It was more like an eviction by Les Miles...

Did you notice that as soon as the last of the Saban trained secondary left, the secondary was terrible, always in bad positions using terrible technique.

I noticed that this happened in 2007. Honestly, I wasn't following the position coaches too closely until the idiocy of the defensive planning for the UF and UK games last season. Back before then, I was busy concentrating my outrage on Jimbo Fisher.

Your right, it began in 2007 but when steltz left it really hurt. He really directed a lot of the defense. With him went a lot of Sabans secondary teachings.

candidate for retarded post of the year. Yeah, Landry, Steltz, Jackson, et al were immediately horrible once Nick left. It was a miracle these guys remembered how to run.

Probably less than "official" but it sounded like it was informed. Hard to imagine that Mallory's name would show up in NM otherwise.
