Yeah we had some damn strong secondaries pre-2008 under His tutelage. I think it would have been good to demote him back to DB coach but that would be virtually impossible to pull off.

LSU: Sources tell FootballScoop that LSU is interested in veteran SEC coach John Thompson. Thompson was Nick Saban’s first defensive coordinator at LSU, but later accepted the defensive coordinator job at Arkansas (his home state). Thompson currently serves as the defensive coordinator at Georgia State.
New Mexico: KRQE News 13 in Albuquerque is reporting LSU co-defensive coordinator Doug Mallory has accepted a position on Mike Locksley’s staff at New Mexico.
Northwestern State: We hear NSU is now very interested in LSU assistant Bradley Dale Peveto.
