Brodie Is right JJ would absolutely start and probably be our best Pass rusher. Our guards are better than yalls DT’s but I am very concerned with our T’s against Miami’s ends. We need to attack up the middle with power and Zone runs. Also I hope E attack’s with screens early. Miami D will be hyped and we might can take advantage of some over pursuit early.

Yeah, A&M fans were saying that about our RBs before we played them in the Cotton Bowl.

Jackson is what we’re hoping Chaisson becomes.

It's going to be a good match up. It's going to come down to who wants it more and how close these teams are as a unit to keep up the pressure.

Almost all these college teams are extremly talented. The difference comes in with who's the toughest team mentally. Who can take the adversity and brush it off to come back. Who takes advantage of the mistakes the other team makes and who can avoid making them.

I like our chances bc this team is full of relentless leaders who are ready to change the direction of the program. This team is taking this season serious so if we run into teams just showing up to camp and doing their thing while LSU is doing all the extra things then that should put us over the top. We'll see if it's all talk or if it's the real deal very soon. It should show up on the field against teams like Miami. We'll see

Question. Has Gerald Willis done much of anything in his college career? I thought he went to Florida. How did he end up at Miami? Has he really done anything in college to speak of? I mean this as a legitimate question, because I haven’t really followed him after he decided to go somewhere besides LSU.

Miami is a little bigger than the weights you listed. UM Sports site list Willis at 300lbs.

Yep and 2 things we definitely know, all schools lie about Height and Weight!

Can’t wait to see our boys get on the field with those Miami sea gulls!
Joe Jackson going to be doubled all game cuz the rest of that line is podunk. I could of swore I saw that fat boy Willis playing for FAMU last year.
What the deal wit all these Miami fans coming here to post and beg for respect??

DE- Joe Jackson ... 6’5 258lb Jr. Miami’s best player on the DL and lone returning starter in this unit. Very good pass rusher. In his first 2 college seasons he logged 82 tackles, 21 TFl, and 14 sacks.

There are two keys in the post that hopefully the coaching staff can take advantage of. #1 is to use the OL size and strength against the smaller defensive front. #2 is to have a better prepared o-line and use the experience LSU has to their advantage. We get to see how good Cregg really is.

Yep. To me, Joe Jackson is the only guy who can hurt you. You can double team him or use FBs, TEs, or RBs to chip in and help block him on the edge. I feel confident that our interior O linemen are good enough to contain Gerald Willis if he is the real deal. If he is average at best, they can get to the second level to maul over that Linebacker corps.

Here is an article that can shed some light on his career. He’s had a very bumpy road where he can’t seem to stay out of trouble.

That article is obviously not recent. He’s only been suspended at Miami for 1 game so he hasn’t been in much trouble at Miami actually. He did not play in games last fall but practiced all fall with the team and was said to be unblockable even vs our 1st team oline.
