f theres some superstar coach just waiting for LSU to call please tell me where he' been hiding?
Many coaches would love to be the HC of LSU. Top 10 money and a fertile recruiting area with no instate competition. Only a fool thinks otherwise.

The hatred of Coach Miles has snowballed into an avalance and most have no clue why they hate him.
See the end of the Tennessee game as one of many examples. No man making $4 mil a year should be that clueless.

However, if he refuses to replace Crowton
I don't see this happening. I think firing Crowton will be the first thing he does, if he remains HC.

Let's pretend he is a great coach.

Fair enough. Its the mark of a good man to realize his mistakes and address them, rather than let them sink the ship... the JJ/Lee controversy not withstanding.
BTW, its not like he tried to break the D. Pelini left, just like Jimbo left. Miles first whack at the replacement didnt work, so he addressed it and got it right.

Why doesn't everyone understand LSU will have all of those things when Miles is gone
because nothing is guaranteed.
Look at Rich Rod for exhibit A
His name was the hot name for big time HC jobs a few years ago. He had a great winning percentage and ran a clean program at WV...Michigan recruits itself with it's winning tradition...money is not an issue with UM boosters, etc.
Just look at the shitpile in Ann Arbor now.

I can tell you this, AUburns OC could easily ride the wave he created right into a big time job like ours! It's all about momentum.
Proof: See Rutgers! That clown could have went ANYWHERE in the country last year, but he tricked himself into thinking he could sustain things there. Now, I'm not sure if UL would take him.
Not saying AU's OC is ready, but some school will give him the reigns

I'm sitting here right now. The guy walks in with a Michigan sweatshirt on and I started talking to him. You don't see many Michigan shirts in Montgomery, but this is a military town, so we have people here from all over the world.

So are you pro-miles or anti-miles?

I'm not saying that we can't find that. I just get tired of the Miles bashing. He has his flaws
he has a shitload of them...trust me we can find better...much better...the "great family man" thing has driven me up the wall...You dont pay a man 4 million dollars because he is a "great family man" you pay him because he can do what others cant...hence the large amount of money...

I wear a Michigan sweater from time to time (my wife is from there). When I'm at the mall I always seek out the random dude in the LSU gear that looks mildly retarded (there's always a few) and tell him the we are gonna hire Miles away from LSU. It's fun to screw with stupid people's minds.

I was pro-Miles until the Ole Miss game last year. That kind of did it for me. I would fall in the "Realitiger" camp. I don't have irrational hatred for the man and I pull for him to be successful because he is LSU's coach. But, I see what everyone else sees and know that he is severely limited in what he is capable of when it comes to running this team at a championship level.
Unfortunately, it's time for a change. And, that is not because he hasn't won a lot of games. But, I get the feeling that we are often winning in spite of Miles and that makes me think that we could do better with the talent we have. Of course, we've had coaches before who don't bring in this kind of talent, so it's kind of a wash.
Basically, I'm tired of being frustrated everytime I watch LSU.

That's not how it went down, but don't let the facts get in the way of a clever retort.
Anyway, again, it was a conversation. Wow. I should have gotten 2-3 more sources and I could have run a piece in the Advocate or Times-Picayune stating the "mood of Michigan fans" when it came to Rich Rodriguez and Les Miles. Or, I could just do what ESPN does and cruise the message boards looking for opinions.

I'll never foget what my best friend told me while I was gloating over our last NC.
He is a BIG BIG time Bama booster and he was partying right there with us. He look at us and said, "let's have fun and party all night. But let me say one thing, one day you guys are going to wake up to find out a moron is running your team. I'm happy for you guys that you won, but it was pure luck gettin here. Les Miles cannot coach and you guys will see what the rest of the country sees in him real soon."
It took about half a year for me, maybe less, to realize what was he was seeing and hearing when Miles was involved.

If HE leaves for Michigan or Colorado it's a premier job... it he wins 9-10 games a yr and we run him off, how premier is a job that you have to go undefeated and win the MNC every year to keep it?
I don't think Colorado will pay $4 mil a season, Michigan can and might if the ball rolls the right way.
