Players hit, players pitch, players field, players throw and players run. It is the players that win and lose games. I do not see how anyone could EVER blame a coach for what players do.
But, then again, look at all the credit Skip received for what players did.

Get off of your phone, Pawl. There’s a game going on.

Players aren’t producing is part of the problem. I’m just not willing to say it is 100% on the coach. Baseball is the sport that the coach has the least control over. Not like football where your OC and DC are major components. We’ve seen that the last 2 years.

Who do you think is teaching them how to do these things well and teaching them how to handle these things in specific situations? Who is making scouting decisions, game plans and in game decisions?

While he cant control how they perform directly. As a coach he is responsible for motivating them, organizing them, and having them focused and in the right state of mind.
Your take is very short sighted.

Regardless of where you place majority of blame, it’s fair to say this program isn’t progressing. Player development seems nonexistent and in game decisions by the coaches are questionable to put it nicely.
It’s time for a change and there will be one following the season.

We all look forward to see how you do next year as the new coach at LSU. There are also plenty of people on here that are more than qualified to be your Asst Coaches because they have all the answers (after the fact) and know how easy it is to be a major college baseball coach.

Talk about moving the goal posts. Why are you changing the subject? Do you want to talk about whether or not coaches should shoulder blame for the performance of the players or do you want to act like I said that I can coach baseball?

They don’t look unmotivated, unorganized and unfocused to me. We just aren’t as good as these other SEC teams. Maybe our 7 out of 9 true freshman and COVID freshman starters just aren’t SEC ready yet. If we get pitching next year it will be interesting to see how we do.

7 out of 9 starters are True Freshman and COVID Freshman. Hard to develop them in a few practices in the Fall

You just seem to have all the answers

I’m just pointing out that at some point it’s on the players. He can’t throw it or hit it for them. Don’t give me the “he recruited them”. I bet everybody in the country would have signed most of our players.
Who picks the players? Fire THAT guy.

The same guy starting 7 True/Covid Freshman

I just said we are starting 7 freshman. Don’t see many teams with 7 freshman starting and minus the #1 pitcher. Just pointing out facts that can’t be argued with. My point in this entire thread is that at some point the players have to produce and that they are also freshman.
