With Rocker and Leiter (both with pretty good genes) starting, it’s hard to lose when the other team can’t score.

I just said we are starting 7 freshman. Don’t see many teams with 7 freshman starting and minus the #1 pitcher. Just pointing out facts that can’t be argued with. My point in this entire thread is that at some point the players have to produce and that they are also freshman.
Then explain why we are starting 7 freshman. There are sophomores, juniors and even seniors on the team. Why is he playing so many freshman. He has been able to recruit every year just like everyone else. Choosing or having to start 7 freshman is on Maneri and an indication of a problem. That line might have merit in a coaches first couple of years. It might also have merit if those freshman were leading the conference (like a fab 5 Michigan basketball team). But when they are at the bottom of the rankings and at this point in Maneri’s tenure, starting 7 “freshman” is confirmation of a failing coach, not an excuse.
