Totally against the rules. Noticed that in their game against O state. Must “clearly wipe dry” before touching the ball, but not allowed at all if you are in contact with the pitcher’s plate.

Even Dickinson was loafing to home on Frey’s hit. Then he realized Frey was going for a double and there may be a play at second, when he realized he had to hurry home in case Frey was tagged out at second.
