I don't care what he says about Shepard, and it wouldn't bother me at all if nobody ever asked him a single question about it since it was the least of our problems. I wish someone would ask him why his offensive line can't block anyone. I wish someone would ask him why we only have one defensive lineman in the sophomore, junior, and senior classes that is a quality SEC player and also why that one player is so out of shape.

nevis is probably the best out of the fat and overweight players we have, but i (unfortunately)have the image of his slow-arse as well as the rest of our pathetic un-atheletic players on our d-line painfully laboring while unsuccessfully trying to track down guys to make a tackle

Let me just say that I don't tend to read or care about any coache's comments, but the only time I remember Miles saying Shep would become more involved is after the Florida game when he didn't play. Besides, I don't see why it would even matter if he lied about a player's playing time. And if he did play more then there would be people complaining about someone else not getting enough touches or play time.

What? You disagree? Why don't they call him out them. Miles deserves any question or criticism directed his way.

shepard was a 5 star qb coming out of highschool, and it wasn't just because he could run real fast.we didn't allow this guy to throw 1 pass all year.1 PASS ALL YEAR????he should be involved in 90 percent of our plays, and lined up at differrent positions in a variety of sets.he is a weapon that has to be accounted for,and we have made it easy for our opponents.who do you put the blame on CROWTON,MILES,HIS POSITION COACH?someone in this program needs to fix this crap.it is a shame to think what could have been.we weren't given a chance to see what makes this young man so special.

he needs time in the weight room. he should have been redshirted.

miles doesn't owe the fans shite
Yes, yes, yes he does. He makes 4 million a year. Fans help to pay his salary. He also owes the fans a disciplined football team with a good gameplan and playcalling. We get none of this. Its not even fun being an LSU fan right now. Its painful to watch LSU. We look like we can't even hang with some Big East and CUSA teams. I know one thing, LSU is no better than that E. Carolina team that should have beaten Arkansas today. That is fact and that is fricking sad.
amen brother...

There is this tactic known as "When asked a question, you instead answer the question you wish had been asked"

if you believe that shepard needs time in the weight room, and should have been redshirted then i can get onboard with that.but to believe that then you must also say that t-bob should have been redshirted for lack of size, and our whole d-line should have been benched for being slow, fat and out of condition.(with the exception of our stud of a d-lineman RAHIM ALEM
)

this pissed me off more than most...I saw the kid throw in high school and it wasnt bad at all...Throwing for over 250 yards vs. Copperas Cove aint no joke...kid can throw and I dont care what anyone says... I've seen it...

Dexter McCluster weighs 170 soaking wet. They don't have a problem getting him to perform. He flat out takes over games.

t-bob will benefit greatly this offseason from time in the weight room, but there wasn't really anyt backup plan for him. Shepard basically does what Holiday does, but just not qute as good yet.

I AGREE WITH YOU.I KNOW THAT HE CAN THROW TOO.THINK ABOUT HOW CONFUSED DEFENSES WOULD HAVE BEEN THIS YEAR HAD WE FAKED THE RUN AND PLAY ACTION PASSED WITH SHEPARD.THAT WRINKLE IN OUR OFFENSIVE GAMEPLAN WOULD HAVE OPENED IT UP FOR OUR RUNNING BACKS AND RECEIVERS

CEPHEID.....LONERGAN IS BETTER THAN T-BOB NOW

the whole not cursing bit sounds like something coach rob from john curtis tells his students. o and by the way, its refrain not reframe.

maybe, maybe not. they seem to be about what and what. Both should be a lot better with a full offseason to mature.
Posted on 1/3/10 at 1:14 am to cepheid
I AGREE THAT EVERYONE ON THE TEAM WILL BE BETTER WITH AN OFFSEASON TO MATURE AND GET BETTER.I JUST CANNOT RECALL ANOTHER LINEMAN GETTING MANHANDLED THE THAT HEBERT DID THIS YEAR.I MEAN, HOW MUCH DO YOU THINK THIS GUY CAN IMPROVE.LSU NEEDS TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE OTHER SUCCESSFUL PROGRAMS(NO NEED TO STATE THE OBVIOUS TEAMS)AND START PUTTING THEIR BEST PLAYERS ON THE FEILD.I HAVE HEARD MILES RESPOND TO THIS IN THE PAST,AND GET VERY DEFENSIVE ABOUT IT.BUT THAT IS COMPLETE B.S.

I will agree...and the thing about mcluster is right on too...hell trindon is 155lbs...he didnt get hurt...let players player...kid is a baller and you saw that on his 70 yard td run...I saw that like 10 times in high school...granted I know its high school and thats a different level but still c'mon if you cant see that kid has got it your blind...I'd rather lose a couple of games with him showing improvement all year making big plays then watching JJ with his "deer in headlights look" I'm sorry but that kid aint taking us to a BCS bowl...

you can only play with the players that you have. But IMO Hitt would have been a pretty good center, but that switch should have been made a couple years ago.
