Harris won't transfer he has been all LSU from day 1. Why would he leave the place he was so excited to come to. I think he knew he my have to earn his playing time. He isn't going anywhere.

miles just wants to battering ram the other team until they run out of steam in the late 3rd quarter.
this works against weak teams great... the SEC is strong as ever... this isn't 2011.

-Jennings plays not to lose
-Harris plays to win
-Harris plays to win

The misuse of the gimme games by miles continues. Instead of using shite teams as a good live scrimmage we just waddle along. Harris should be starting and if he wants to then split the reps.
Id put money down that if Jennings goes 3 n out on the first series we see the boo birds come back to tiger stadium.

if jennings keeps missing the blitz coming straight at him, harris will be the starter quicker than most think.

Hmmmm this is a tough one. How about knowledge of the playbook?
It cant be that hard to learn our 10 plays

I thought that was the same thing. If you are playing not to lose then you are playing to win. If you play to win you don't want to lose.

what Harris failed to realize is that you don't earn playing time by making big plays. you earn it by inheriting the miles nudes.

So let him hold the clipboard.

What the hell difference does this make:
If this happens:

it's going to be another really bad showing on offense with a half full stadium.

We'll probably go 3 and out but not because of jennings. We'll run two runs up the middle with a stacked box then throw a screen for 2 yards.

Lets be honest here, what we want is the offensive game plan to change, we want to see a spread formation, become more of a pass to open up the run offense. Then when you give it to the RB's the middle will be a little more user friendly for them, Lol. Our offense is just boring, and throw in a boring QB, it's just not fun to watch.
That being said, Les has a coaching style, and he won't abandon it because some fans don't like it.
I find myself wanting Harris starting too, but I really don't know what's best for our team, lol.
Les is no Saban, this is the real hurt we see on this board. We want a coach that wins 11, 12 and 13 games per season, not a measly 10

The difference is if Jennings struggles again and we decide to pull him then we have Harris making his first start ever on the road in auburn. If we at least give him this week to start then at least he has had a week of getting use to the routine a starter goes through.

Look...I'm not big on hopping into debates like this, but...what good does knowledge of the playbook do when your ability or the staff's lack of trust in your ability limits the playbook to miracle bombs to one receiver and multiple version of runs off tackle?
Either because of ability or trust Jennings' playbook is a huge part of the problem with LSU's offense right now. It's become simple for quality teams to stop LSU's offense because you need only take away two things.

That's not going to help.
You don't go into this game to practice your memory of the plays. That's done on the practice field. You go into this game to practice executing the plays. If you don't know them...then how can you run them?

you don't know how many series Harris is going to get. he could play the entire 2nd half for all you know
I agree with you. I'm not leaning one way or the other. I just don't think anyone knows enough about Harris to assume he's the answer just yet. And a few series like the post I was replying to had mentioned against New Mexico wouldn't tell us he's ready for that role.
Posted on 9/24/14 at 11:35 am to monsterballads
I just hope Harris gets enough snaps in this week's game and plays well enough so that the coaching staff is willing to put him in the Auburn game before it is too late.
Posted on 9/24/14 at 11:35 am to heartbreakTiger
Yeah, him taking the first snap of the game against New Mexico State, instead of the 12th snap is going to help IMMENSELY if he were thrust into the starting position on the road against Auburn.
