so basically our D is prone to big plays

We have a young secondary, give them time and those mistakes will fade away.

The broke down in the UNC game for 3 plays. 40% of Yates' yards came on those 3 plays. It's not like they moved the ball up and down the field on us.

You're right. We can't stop every big play, especially against a team that had nothing to lose.

not really

we have 1 sophomore corner and then upperclassmen filling out the rest of the 3 starting spots

this is like people saying we had a young OL last year

I guess I should've said young in experience. Plenty of new starters this year.

Again, lets wait until real competition starts before crowning the "The best D ever!" or "Total f'ups".

We wont see a real offense for another few weeks.

The Tigerbitchers will, of course, have an aneurysm even thinking of the possibility....

a problem he created

You can't have it both ways. You can't blame miles when things go bad and give him ZERO credit when things go well.

Then again... we are talking LSU fans

We COULD have a young secondary, but we've been playing Taylor and Eugene, who have been out of position or inconsistent several times on big plays for sure.

D is what it is. O is what it is. Like ANY head coach you give them credit for the good stuff and responsibility for the bad. They are the head coach and are ultimately responsible for everything.

We shouldn't even be discussing this because it is universal and something everyone should understand.

What about that true freshman corner. He is young and seeing a lot of playing time.

UNC did not have Greg Little, their best offensive player or their starting two running backs at the Georgia Dome... saying they are "Back" might be as they say, a little "pre-mature"...think about that ...

against UNC the offense wasn't helping matters in the 2nd half by going 3 and out numerous times.

but this is the rant and he wont get any credit at all.

not true. he just got credit from the OP. and on top of that i give him more credit. That being said, we haven't' played a potent offense yet so we'll see.

I'm just saying I'd be a lot more alarmed if UNC had moved the ball at will against us.

Jury is still out on how "fixed" it is.

Chavis will cost us a game, which in turn will cost us a shot at SECCG and BCSCG.

I hate to say but I think your right about that.

(Thats why Fulmer had only one championship in 16 yrs. with tons of talent)

"Jury is still out on how "fixed" it is."

hard not agree with that statement, although I do like the speed of this defense (especially off the edge) and we have a least one playmaker at each level of teh D (Nevis, Sheppard, PP).

"Chavis will cost us a game, which in turn will cost us a shot at SECCG and BCSCG."

Now if that's not pure "negatigerism," then I don't know what is!

Facts are that he didn't solve it right the first time with Mallveto, he might have gotten it right the 2nd time. Too early to tell this year so far.

So you have only watched them from Mallveto until now? What about Bo? 1 year, and it got fixed. The situation with the offense didn't show up immediately and contracts were rewarded that required money to correct. Gary is on a short leash.
