Horrible analogy Did you get that one from "The Bear" this morning???

Explain to me why it is a horrible analogy other than the fact that you didn't like it. And look through my posts and you'll find that you've mentioned "the bear" at least one more time than I have. That's assuming that this was the first time you've mentioned him, which is probably an incorrect assumption.

He definitely comes off that way when I hear him speak though.

I will agree that he is not the greatest public speaker. But that doesn't affect one's ability to coach. If I recall, he had brain surgery a few years ago and some attribute that to his speaking ability.

Reading the paper today Miles remarks sound a little cocky. He would like a rematch, nothing that happened during the game cannot be fixed, he may replace some starters.
I hope they pull up their jocks and come out swinging against So. Carolina or it may be a long day.

From reading these threads, you'd think Miles never won a national title or even coached a team to to a win.

Actually, I didn't say I think he's dumb. I'm unsure. He definitely comes off that way when I hear him speak though. Obviously, you guys see and hear him a lot more than I do. He never really seems to know what is going on, or what the question actually was that he was asked. His assistants always seem to be arguing with him and trying to make him understand something on the sidelines. I mean, I don't know, it's just the perception I've gotten from the little I've seen of him. Maybe I'm wrong.

I can definitely see this with his speaking skills, but I have never seen him arguing with his assistants or them trying to make him understand something. The only time he really looked lost was Tenn. 2005. Other than that, his demeanor on the sideline seems to imply that he knows what he is doing.

This is a serious question from an outsider looking in.......... Does Les Miles not seem a little dumb to you guys?

You mean like a coach (after a loss) would refer to The Holocaust as a way of explaining a defeat ?........... Um No.

Do you know how to apply an analogy and how one affects the meaning of your conversation?

If you do, go ahead and make an analogy, and I'll quiz you on it.

The day is coming soon when all you Bama Gumptards will see this Fool's Gold you're creaming over there on for what it really is. Maybe accomplish something that sticks this year before you poke the splinter in our eye. Till then, you might wanna soak that shirt...Kool Aid stains like a bitch

No he is not dumb and I hope, for your sake, that your question is sarcastic. Otherwise, I truly believe you are dumb.

Hahah, yeah, fool's gold. Let me ask you this, do you really think it's fool's gold to believe a traditional powerhouse, now off of probabtion, with all scholarships back, a rabid fanbase, excellent coach, money to back it, and a hunger to get back to winning will NOT climb back to the top? I'm not saying that Bama will win a NC this year. They may not win one in the next 20 years, but if you think Alabama is not well on it's way to being back among the big boys then you are delusional yourself.

I do think he may be dumb. For that, I suppose I'll have to suffer the ridicule of you believing I'm dumb. It's the price I pay.

Dumb is comparing a football game to national disasters.

Wasn't Miles an Economics major at Michigan? Don't know where you went to school or what you majored in, but that is a pretty tough major at one of the best public Universities in the country.

He had a cyst removed, and I've heard some people link that to his speaking abilities. I don't have an opinion either way.

Dumb is not knowing the difference between a "comparison" and an "analogy". Look it up, I think you'll be amazed at what you don't know.

Well that was a "dumb" analogy.
