Exactly, the sec even admitted it was a live ball in their statement. And I don’t see anything in the rules about a ref arm raise stopping play. Everything says the whistle has to blow.
So state is back to blaming the loss on two players with the same jersey number haha. Should direct all of that blame to leach throwing a fade on 4th and goal or the multitude of other idiotic calls he made

Take away the scoop & score & that illegal punt return for a TD & Ms. State wins the game. Didn't see the game stats but SECNow said that State dominated the game absent those 2 plays. Just saying.

Yea, but I have a feeling if you take away two touchdowns from any SEC game the outcome is significantly changed.
Let’s not forgot, Memphis held state scoreless in the second half until garbage time when they went prevent.
