Saying Monroe is basically in Arkansas is one of the most ignoRANT comments I've heard on here and that says Alot. If that was the case I guess you should say goodbye to Richard Murphy Mingo Randall downs just to name a few dipshite

I agree though with the disdain of South LA for anything above Alexandria.

Thank you for the geography lesson but I am from Monroe and was naming players from the area. I agree that north and south la is two different worlds but that does not take away the fact that their are some very loyal tiger fans in nela that take offense to that simple minded comment

I did not realize that people in Monroe could read much less write

Good, how about LSU keep everything south of I-10 to themselves, and Tech will just take over the rest. You can be the "coonass flagship" and we'll gladly control our [red]neck of the woods. :D

Glad they finally gave you your GED. On the other hand I am 23 and have a BA in business and a MBA in finance. Why would you want to separate the fan base anyway? Your one of those people that leaves at half time because Les didn't play shepard enough

I did seven years in Monroe prior to moving back to Alexandria. I don't miss it. They are a town unto themselves. Their media thinks the Gulf of Mexico starts at the Lasalle - Grant Parish line, and that Shreveport is the capital of the state. There are some good folks up that way, but I sure as hell don't miss that culture.

How can anyone from Alexandria bag on Monroe? Alexandria is the worst city in Louisiana and it's not really even close.
