this could be the dumbest thing I've ever read...

so what you're saying is throw a bomb every play and if it gets picked oh well but maybe 33% of the time we catch it for big yards and a TD...w/o yac of course, because god forbid our skill players do something with the ball after they catch it

dear lord

Yes, but Lee spotted Georgia fourteen points. Dude, you just aren't listening. I'm not relieving the defense of their horrid play in that game. But you are actually trying assert that Lee played well in that game. If he doesn't throw any interceptions, we win that game going away

NO THEY DON'T!! You are the one missing the point!!!!

since we are we comparing WR's dumbass. What the WR does after he catches it has nothing to do with what the QB did. Thats why I took it out.

We lost to GA by the pick-six scores. Lee was a disaster. I was there.

I think you bt and ROBbob are MR.lee Mrs.Lee
Lee's little brother or maybe his cous.

I've been here for a few years now, and I have to say, TOP 5 best posts I've seen on here.

Literally no one, i mean no one, who knows shite about football would say completion percentage is at the bottom of the list. Also, YAC yardage and passing yardage are the same thing. Tom Brady gets well over 80 yards a game just from Wes Welker in the slot. Yet, he's amazing.

You forget one of the most important things. Composure. No matter what anyone says, it's pretty clear Jefferson has more composure than Lee. Please try to argue that.

He doesn't want to use YAC.. he basically wants who makes the 15+ yard throws better. That's fine and it's his opinion.. I just personally think a high-percentage pass gets the job done.

GA 38 - LS 17, in the 3rd qtr. LSU never had a shot. JLees last pick6 came in the 4th qtr.

A well placed ball sets the WR up to get YAC.

Jefferson has 5 TDs and 1 Int. I like that ratio.

Do these stats live in a vacuum? We haven't played very difficult competition yet.

I'm troubled by our inability to stretch the field with the passing game. We're gonna find out real soon if it's an issue or not when we meet UGA, UF, Auburn, Bama, Ole Miss, Arkie.

No one is going to rally with you. Of course we all remember the pick-sixes, but anyone with an ounce of football knowledge knows that the defense, without question, did LSU in that day.

There are several people saying the same thing. I literally just said our defense sucked, but throwing 2 pick 6's and losing by 14 points seems kinda like a difference...

I don't get what you're saying? I just said 4 picks including a pick into triple coverage in OT loses a game.

Dont even bother they refuse to listen to logic. All they do is scream PICK SIX PICK SIX.

Those 14 points are not the issue. LSU should NEVER lose at home when scoring 38 points. THATS MY issue.

MSU your not going to get your son a starting spot by complaining on the internet. Tell him to transfer to Mcneese state he may break into the starting linup there.

Or maybe southeastern?

The pick6 problem was a team problem.. but the TD/INT ratio was all on Lee and his inability to read coverage last season. That being said.. he was young.

My point is that both Lee and Jefferson would probably have the same record this year. But which is better for this programs future? Who is going to be better at the end of their respective campaigns? He looked sharp on the few snaps he's seen.. and we WILL need him at some point in the season -- I hope he tears it up.

which is real ironic, since they alsi claim that JJ wouldnt even have a pick, if the receiver had done his job. hmmmmm

I'm one of the most realistic fans around. We aren't doing well at all and we're gonna lose 3-4 games, but guess what, it's not gonna be from QB play. If we had a game manager at QB we're 8-4 or 9-3. Our defense sucked last year but that was half the problem.

Just because Lee was AWFUL last year, couldn't BEAT OUT Jefferson over the Spring and Summer, and because Jefferson is 3-0 currently, doesn't mean I wear P&G glasses. It means Jefferson is winning right now despite our struggle with the OL, running game, DL sucking, lack of playcalling, and lack of vertical passing. Why don't you wait til Jefferson goes 10-30 with 3 int's before you call for his head?

explain to me how the QB "does what he does" without the receiver catching it?? you're putting velcro on our receivers bodies now??

I don't see how you can't talk about receivers when comparing any qb's passing stats...but I'm sure you'll find a way
