That's what the powers that be at Nebraska said...right before new athletic director Steve Pederson canned Solich for
"Gravitating towards mediocrity" and having their program went to shite. Pederson was fired 4 years later after Bill Callahan posted season records of: 5-6; 8-4; 9-5; 5-7.

Moral of the story, 9-3 ain't bad.

Too many under 30 LSU fans on here who are way too complacent. For three decades as a fan, I learned to settle. Last 5-6 years I have learned to expect the very best product the staff can put on the field. We didn't beat Moo U by 30 pts folks. We won by 10. Again, I have watched way too much LSU football over the decades. A turnover and 2 mintutes could have changed this game.

Anyone who has been excited with the play of this team, this year is too damn complacent. I sure as hell am not happy with it. I don't want a 9-3 season. Unnacceptable.

I agree, completely unaccaptable. What's say me and you meet up at the players' dorm this evening and give ol' Jarrett a code red. You know, we can hold him down and beat him with a bar of soap tied up in a sock. Just to let him know that we are over 30 and we are not complacent. Incompletions and interceptions are unacceptable. Scoring less than 40 against Mississippi State is especially unacceptable. We are LSU, Lee, and we are over 30, and this shite will not stand. Then we can go have sex with his girlfriend. In the butt. That will teach him to stare down those fricking receivers.

I'm just glad Lee can throw the ball down the field.

EXACTLY. If anything is going to take LSU's football program down, it's going to be complacancy.

When we're at this level, we must shoot for a NC every year. If we fail, we should see it is a missed opportunity. It shouldn't be acceptable to not be the best ever again.

LSU is complacent because it has a QB who is being asked to contribute prematurely and thus has to learn on the job? That's idiotic.

Sam Bradford seems to be doing OK, and he did great last year as a TRUE freshman as well. If OU can get the Sam Bradfords, then we should expect to as well.

Is the lack of patience some of the folks on the rant have. He started his first game, against an SEC defense. Give him time to grow...jeez.

Not even the great (I am not making slight) Tommy Hodson mastered it in his first start. And he is one of the best we had.

He may or may not be as good as Rohan, Mauck, or Flynn....but let him play.

I know I was way wrong with Hatch...and I am not afraid to admit it. I thought he was gonna be able to lead us to victory with some moderate passing. He did not have it. He led us to victory...but not against stellar competition.

Good Night

next thing you know, we'll be losing our focus on the rant and that will lead to chaos on the field

Yea, why isn't he playing like a 5th yr Sr.? It's because ESPN hates LSU.

My problem with Lee is I hope he never throws another screen pass again as a QB for the Tigers.
