Actually if Lee had played behind this line you would see him get rid of the ball quickly. The only issue would be how many would be rushed, forced passes that could get him in trouble.
+1
how anyone can't understand this is beyond me

knowing lee has to make quick decisions doesn't give me that much comfort.
this just shows your difficulty in being objective when discussing this topic. Lee's issues were in plays that evolved and required him to read and check. And he threw the slants better than any RS FR in recent LSU memory.

Sickos like you want someone to blame for last year and have unfairly blackballed Lee for your own personal satisfaction.
this
They told us they knew the other QB was sssssooooooo much better. Now that it looks like we are no better on offense, possibly worse, we hear excuses. Because they could not have been wrong, of course.

Leading myths tonight:
1) Jefferson has a slow release
2) Jefferson has been indecisive
3) OL has been doing a good enough job pass protecting to throw the deep ball
4) Jefferson threw late on the "deep ball" (did I just say that) to Dickson where he had his jersey held and thus the ball was a few yards over his head
OK, now here's a real potential truth...does LSU ever call a screen pass anymore?

pretty much dead on
could add #4, they wont throw down field too much.
but when he has had the chance, he has been indecisive

Of course, the oline is not playing well.
Of course, the doc is biased to JJ playing.

Jarrett Lee threw a couple of passes well...he really did: 1) long pass 2) slants
Jarrett Lee threw more kinds of passes poorly
1) screen pass 2) pass out into the flat 3) ones where he had to hold the ball and actually read the defense 4) balls on the run (or what passed for him running).
Before any Jarrett Lee defenders come out of hiding, let's remember one point shall we. Who was the initial starter last season:
A) Jarrett Lee
B) Andrew Hatch who had 1 scholarship offer out of HS (BYU) and looked every bit a FBS caliber QB

doc thinks Les is lying when he says the o-line is playing well, but he's being straight up when he says JJ's playing well

Jordan Jefferson has not been indecisive and has had the poise to throw the ball into the nickel seats. That actually is testimony that he is being very decisive. Ask Jarrett Lee who apparently thought it was a penalty to throw the ball out of the pocket into Row H.

Can someone make one of those KANYE WEST images with Flynn holding up the crystal ball, and Kanye is saying, "I'm happy for you Matt, and imma let you finish, but Jamarcus Russell was the greatest QB to play at LSU."

Jefferson has looked a little unsure about throwing some passes and is checking down. Instead of forcing a pass (which sometimes you have too) he wants to dump it off.
Eventually he will have to force a pass deep to open things up for the offense.

the measuring stick for LSU's QB is not last year's Jarrett Lee...

3) Jordan Jefferson ?
I think its important for JJ fans to fully come to grips with the fact that JJ didnt beat out JL for QB, JL lost the job. Had JL not thrown multiple interceptions, JJ would just be a RS freshman battling RS for the #2 spot.

Are you contradicting the Hat. Miles said this is the best OL he's had at LSU.

Actually, it is much more important to note that Jordan Jefferson became the starting QB his true FR year while Jarrett Lee was given the job when Hatch got hurt and couldn't even hold off Jefferson as the starting QB. Hmmm, TR FR vs RS FR and it wasn't even close, was it? Jordan Jefferson won the starting job, regardless of semantics to the otherwise.

Jefferson had an opportunity to play because Lee got the high ankle sprain in the Ole Miss game.
BTW, on that play Lee hung in the pocket and delievered a strike for about a 40-yd gain.
Were you not at the game MR. Expert?

Yes, I already have mentioned that and once again, I didn't blame Miles for saying that. Sometimes you chew people out and sometimes you pump them up to try to get them to do their jobs, which clearly they are not doing (either in pass protection or opening up the run). My tires simply don't hold 200 psi like Miles tried to put in the OL.

You should never force a pass unless you are desperate. Uh, I believe "forcing a pass" has been tried before...actually at least 7 times last year which resulted in 49 points for the opposition after PATs were converted. Thanks but no thanks on "forcing a pass deep".
