Obviously les miles loves the kid.
At least the combine is showing why Les has been in love with the kid for 3 years. Before it seemed like the preseason and spring hype was just all talk and no substance. At least now the proof is there for everyone to see that in a practice setting JJ can look like a very solid qb. I still have no explanation on how Les still didnt make a change in the SECCG or NC though....

But I'm sure you think Lee is a composed pocket passer...
no I don't think LSU has had a SEC calibar QB in 4 years
which really makes the 8,9,11 and 13 wins the last 4 years a major accomplishment

the problem is les was fooled over and over and over again.

Well according to some on this board Les would have to be mentally incompetent to ever think about playing JJ...Unfortunately the switch never flipped in games consistantly

there were still years of game film to disprove his abilities as a QB. JJ never deserved to go into a season as the unquestioned starter, yet always was.
if Miles had a genuine competition last fall I'd be willing to bet the finish would have been 1. Mett 2. Lee 3. JJ

its tough to cheer for the worst QB in the history of LSU football who never took any blame for himself and then knifed Les Miles in the back after giving him everything without having to earn it.
+1000
Thank you. I'm so sick of hearing that I should root for JJ just because he played for LSU. Obviously I pulled for LSU to do well when he was here, but why should I root for a guy that is a terrible teammate, never takes blame for himself, and is a terrible player on the field? I think the perfect example of who JJ is is before the championship game he said this game should decide the champion no matter what. Then after the game he said he thinks we should get a share of the title. Every other player they interviewed said Bama should get all of it. How are you gonna make an argument for yourself as the champ when you just got blanked and embarrassed in your hometown? Then he went and threw the coaching staff under the bus in typical JJ fashion. He's literally my least favorite LSU athlete of all time.

they both sucked at playing QB. One had major character flaws as well that make it hard to like him and wish him best and the other was the epitome of a team player and grew into a man. That's the difference between Jefferson and Lee with this fanbase IMO.

Andrew Luck just ran as fast a 40 as JJ...
But JJ brings more to the table with his feet!!!!!

Luck ties JJ's time at 4.59 with his 2nd run.
Cam Newton also ran a 4.59 last year FYI
