the double standard Miles had has always been what's pissed me off the most.
Lee is playing well? Oh well I still want to work both guys in to give us a double threat.
Lee plays poorly? Well the the job is completely JJ's.
JJ plays poorly? Ah well he still gave us the best chance to win and will remain the starter next week.
The JJ fans point to the him saving Lee against Bama, but fail to mention the times Lee came in to save us the year before when JJ was lousy and was never rewarded with more PT the next week. The whole thing was a sham.

Honestly, if the freakshow headcase that is Ryan Perriloux can make a practice squad so can JJ.

The expectations of this year maximized the production from the qb position in tiger fans eyes. If it was roll reversed and JL would have had the off field crap no one would say anything, enough people.

he's about 100x's more talented and mature than JJ. Hopefully Jefferson learns to act like a man because he never did that while at LSU.

a freakshow headcase, yes. But still a talented player. JJ doesn't have 1/10th the talent RP does.

I agree, thought that was the reason for Mett choosing LSU over Bama was the fact that he would start.

he wasn't even really considering Alabama. Only visited LSU and A&M IIRC

Not true. Lee was still the back up, there's Les interviews going into and during camp saying as much.

this was never the depth chart. in the nat'l media's previews they'd mention JJ starting and then "look out for juco QB Mett", with little/ no mention of Lee. but Mett was never 2nd string while all 3 were good to play.

Yes, and when the drama hit JL stepped in as the senior stabilizer because Mett wasn't ready supposedly

We have always heard how JJ has improved every offseason it seemed the coaches talked about his work ethic and him being best QB in practice.
Jefferson showed flashes but he was never consistent and seemed to perform his best last year when he was splitting time with Lee.
If Jefferson makes a practice squad good, but if he ends up the route of Herb Tyler playing in some defunct league then who cares.... I am just glad both he and Lee are done

JJ has come a long way. Was it that he had never played qb until his Jr year at destrahan? Just wondering...heard that somewhere. Heard he was always a project and could excel one day
