and all the ticket sales would generate a lot of extra revenue for LSU

i don't know how much we would make in ticket sales, also you have to pay to be in the CBI. However, I think it is worth it because the extra games for jones to coach and our young guys to play in would be nice for experience.
I just don't like this attitude of us being too good for it when a team like Purdue played in it last year.

Texas was in it, too.
Now look at them.

we should have played last year. I remember Jones backing the decision to not play but I really hope that was just him not wanting to insult our incompetent ad. As a coach he should be wanting to coach in every game he possible can coach in.

LSU traveling all the way to Ruston to take on La Tech.
I will agree that Ruston would be a logical destination if we get in.
Will they select 4 SEC teams? If not are we ahead of Arkansas, Georgia or Missouri?
Am I correct in thinking that Southern University gets an automatic bid as a regular season champion? If so could we be going across town or Southern coming to LSU?

I know Dale Brown would have lobbied for it.
Hopefully he'll like the idea of the CBI and put in his 2 cents. If anyone's still listening to him

Southern is ineligible for the post-season due to come idiotic administrative hijinks.

Almost every projection I look at has us making the NIT.
I think we'll get in.

Oh, oh. I pity us Tiger fans that live in Lafayette. It's going to be a long week.

Most of them late last night.
So ULL winning will take away one more spot. There's 12 automatic qualifiers. So we have to be one of the next 20 best teams, right? I think we are.

Here we are again, wondering if we'll "sneak" into the NIT...

They are going to send LSU to LA Tech.
Posted on 3/16/14 at 2:46 pm to BayouBengals03
There were 10 auto bids to the NIT last year with the worst RPI team getting an at large to the NIT being St. Johns at 16-15(RPI 94).
I'm thinking about a 6 seed.

This is one of the projections I looked at. I think we'll get in as a 5 and go to Tech, too.

It's amazing the nose dive this program took after the Lester Earl fiasco. It's never been the same since. Brady had a couple of successful years but he was a P.R. nightmare. Trent Johnson (enough said). 3 more yeas of CJJ. NIT is our benchmark at this point.
