Does it seem to anyone else that crowtons offense scheme seems to play against our strenths? We have one of the best recieving cores in the nation and we've sen that jj can throw it deep decently, yet Crowton still has us passing short slant routes that give our wr's no room to break free or make big plays.
We also have an impressive running attack, yet we call predictible runs up the middle almost every play, and if it's not that it's the option play that has been disgraceful this whole season.
It has just been really frustrating watching our play calling this season.

Get ready for the deluge of "why are you not coaching?" or the "coaching staff knows best" but I agree with you. Collectively we (the fans) do know something about football and its been a head scratcher. You and I will never know he inner workings of the administration, and why things are done they way they are. But, its frustrating. You know LSU has the hosses.

I haven't really seen that for the most part.
But I do agree with the main premise of your post.

it is frustrating to everyone and i'm sure the players and the coaches most of all. the question, to me, is more of why these plays don't work better? are we telegraphing them before the snap? maybe our formation and in game personell packages are giving them away? is our perimeter blocking terrible? is it timing issues? i don't know the answers to these questions, it does seem to me that when we throw the pass out to the flat (with one exception) all of our oppenents seem to know the play. that one exception is throwing to the RB out of the backfield. we don't do it ofter, but it seems that it has been successful.
