There was nothing wrong with that throw, low and away from the leverage of the defender, probably like Krags has coached him to do! You haven't played a lot of football have you?

Let's play dig through seasalt's archive:
quote:

Les Miles is a F'in prick and a complete dumb a-- even if LSU 10-0 - JL should take a stand and just quit - Playing JJ tonight for the length of time he played was "not about the team" - go frick yourself Les!!! Telling your opponent that we know you can't stop us so we will stop ourselves by kneeling on the ball with 5 minutes to go in the game might be the most prick thing I have seen in a college football game - no excuse

And one of a number of JJ criminal posts:

quote:

You guys obviously don't know Bienvenue - not afraid of the big boys and hard nosed litigator in all areas of law - gone against bigger boys than LSU in the past - if there is information to be uncovered - he will get it!!!!!

Since when does a qb drop back 5 steps to throw a "back shoulder throw" from the 4 yard line?

Clearly you missed the point as well.

Why would he be sliding to the ground before it left JJ's hands - did he know that JJ was going to throw it into the ground perhaps!! That is NOT a designed play in any league.
You are an idiot. Balls are often times purposely thrown low so that the receiver is the only one who has a chance to catch it.

Balls are purposely underthrown so that the receiver is the only one who has a chance to catch it.

Balls are purposely thrown high so that the receiver is the only one who has a chance to catch it.

Just because it wasn't a chest pass doesn't mean it wasn't a perfectly thrown ball for that particular situation.

I've never played football and don't know a lot of the finer points of the game, but even I know that much.

well all i can say is JJ must try to throw that low pass alot and our recievers just dont get it.

So your saying JJ threw a pinpoint accurate pass barely off the ground like a pro but cant hit wide open recievers? or is it more possible JJ threw the ball in the ground like he does alot and it just happened to be a route that is sometimes thrown low in the same fashion?

Well, I've never played football, like I said, but I have played baseball and basketball.

Some days in baseball your throwing is just erratic. On those days, it's hit or miss. Sometimes you are trying to hit a spot, and you hit it right on. Then the next pitch, you try to hit a spot and you are way off.

Being a baseball player, I also can throw a football very well. The same thing can happen when throwing a football.

Having said that, I don't understand how JJ was throwing at people's feet several times during that game. I mean, he was way off.

He could have possibly been trying to throw it slightly low, but being jacked up with adrenaline may have caused him to over-compensate. Maybe once he settled in, he was able to just play.

The ball should have been caught, but it was by no means a good throw.

Dan, are you still of the opinion that you were not showing bias when you screen captured every throw in the Oregan game and supplied analysis criticizing every throw that wasn't right between the numbers?

JJ throw the ball terribly Saturday. That throw was not perfect, but it was catchable and should have been caught...similar to many that you criticized after week one.
