If this guy believes all that. . .he os going to be calling for Chip's head after that game.
Once he sees what happens to his offense.
Once he sees what happens to his offense.

me either, but if it was who would it favor..
a team from the PAC NW or a team that's been thru 2-a-days the last month in So. LA heat/humidity?

I'm not worried about anyone's team speed vs ours. With a summer to prepare, I love our chances. Chavis will have a plan to counter the no huddle or hurry up that they play. How can they run when our secondary allows us to blitz and cover every gap, every play. I also doubt they have seen seen speed on the edge like Mingo and Monte will show em. Auburns D was slow compared to ours, let alone comparing tenn or bsu.

I lived in Tennessee as well as Louisiana...not even close when it comes to humidity.

When Miles has time to prepare...it is sick what he does. Look what he does each year in the bowls, or when we open against a good team(VT-07).

Exactly, seems like the perfect storm imo

They really do smoke a lot of weed in Oregon.

Those 2 quotes from Oregon people are delusional. Oregon is a game that scares me and I have respect for them. I think the arguments made on this board, for the most part, are legitimate. They have a LOT of guys to replace and get up to speed.
Our defense is slow?
Chavis builds a defense that's typically a little smaller and faster. Heat and humidity in Dallas?
Maybe for Pac10 people but for us coonasses that's a non factor.
LSU will play the way it normally does - smash mouth football. IMO that's the best way to stop a team like Oregon. Run it up their throats, power football. Keep their explosive offense and our defense off of the field and the defense won't get tired.

[quote] "When LSU has to dedicate more players to stop the run game, the passing game will open up with a much better QB than Masoli ever was, who can stretch the field (Albeit with unproven receivers)." [quote]
And if Chavis has a LB and/or DB repeatedly shadowing Darron Thomas when he runs, it will force him to pass; which will make our pass rush more effective and our DB's licking their chops.
Slowing down their running game (including Thomas) will be our main challenge. Don't see our secondary being victimized by UO's passing game.

If anything, I think LSU would rather them pass the ball(not screens though).

LSU's defense is big, but much slower than BSU's
quote:These two quotes obviously are ridiculous. That said, anyone who has any faith in Chavis's ability to stop Oregon's offense has not been watching LSU's D the last few years.
so the heat and humidity will be a factor
Mobile, spread option QB = Chavis kryptonite

The Little Ball of Hate will have PP7 numbers in this game. There is no way that UO is faster than LSU unless they got some "special" help from Phill Knight and the Nike scientists.

The roof will most likely be open at Cowboys stadium, so the heat and humidity will be a factor.
Not sure where this guy gets his info. I dont think they open the roof very often for football games. The cotton bowl would have been perfect weather for an open roof, but it was closed. I highly doubt the roof will be open in early september.

People are getting all fired up that Oregon fans are picking their team to win. Last night I browsed through the Oregon forums and discovered one thing different from the rant here...some of their fans were picking their team to lose. I can honestly say I've maybe seen one or two LSU fans predict a loss. There's just as many dipshit posts in the rant.

If you look at the teams then, not being a homer, you would pick LSU to win. Oregon has much to replace, and LSU just has to get its QB going.
Yes they are faster, and their offense is scary. However, we have speed of our own. We have the size and strength to knock them around similar to Auburn. LSU is in a better position right now, but Oregon has the fall back that if they lose "They were young" but if they win "Speed kills".

Not a legitimate argument considering LSU's defense is predominantly under classmen.

Experience helps...doesn't matter the year as much as the experience. LSU's young talent got that experience last year. Where was Oregons?

Go to "oregon or lsu" thread

I'd be surprised if Oregon scores more than 30. I just don't see the LSU defense being as effective as the Auburn defense.
