Fisher is killing it on the recruiting trail, unlike Orgeron.
I wouldnt agree with this, fisher has more 3 star recruits but Orgeron has more 5 star recruits and a couple less 4 stars, when it comes to the type of recruits i think it is a push, and if we can get ensminger out and a younger OC in i think we will be fine, Orge is going to mop the field with A&M next year after what just happened

took 7 OT's to beat LSU.75 million dollars! lol they can have him. look at what he done at FSU.

At the end of his first full season as head coach, Jimbo has the #2 ranked class. At the end of his first full season as head coach (and he had a leg up given that he was already interim and recruiting coordinator before that) O had the #7 ranked class. He then followed that up with an embarrassingly disappointing #15 class.

He doesn’t have the #2 class...he has the currently rated #2 class...his is almost full. 7 teams aren’t.

he has exceeded my expectation of keeping the status quo
That's so damn funny...but true. In keeping the status quo HE HAS exceeded my very limited expectations for him. Though, I've never thought we'd tank...which has always been my issue. Tanking is easy to see and accept and fix. Treading water is much harder, and making a change with the local guy who is entrenched in the media and has been spinning expectations from Day one will be MUCH MUCH harder to see and change.

If you like being 9-3 annually he's the right choice...

September 3rd will be declared a holiday at all other SEC schools when O gets his raise and extension.

Please explain how you think LSU ends up with a top 5, much less a top 3, class.
You are at 5 now with the ability to sign 5 more recruits. That is more than all but 2 teams that are currently in the top ten. Clemson is already ranked lower than LSU with 4 more currently committed. I just don’t see where the people that are ranked behind LSU are going to jump them. And I believe LSU can jump at least Oregon and A&M that are ranked ahead. All this is based on 247 composites rankings.

You think he finishes outside the top 10? because Orgeron finished with the 15th ranked recruiting class last year.

Get used to losing to A&M

I mean sure, it's possible. But O's recruiting history at LSU does not demonstrate that he has the ability to close strong on a class.

Why y’all bringing up last year? Stick to the facts that jimbos class is a 5-7 class and Os is going to be a top 5.
I’m fairly confident we have a score in high 280s low 290s

Yep, the status quo got the previous coach fired. yet, its celebrated now. They are some goal post moving fools.
Year 3 will tell everyone where this program is headed. If its another 9-3, 3rd in west with putrid offense....

that's the scary part! It will be 100% harder to remove him than Miles.

100%. I don't ever see LSU improving from what they've accomplished this year with O because I simply do not see him making the necessary changes in regards to the offensive staff; not just a new coordinator, but a new OC with the freedom to bring in his own people, and the freedom to call the game he wants to call.
This and the compliance department needs to back off in regards to PEDs and weed.

The best thing to happen to LSU football of late is the settlement of Miles' buyout. Now it is easily possible to move on from O without any financial PR issues for LSU.
