Ok... but as long as Saban is there it’s not gonna happen without help..... we have the talent. But I’ll say again. Look at how smooth the Bama offense has been run the last decade. Then tell me that LSU has had the smoothness on offense.... it’s like night and day.

Yeah, I read that, and laughed. They haven't had a problem at all with TOP.

That's the point brother. Don't we want a coach that's good enough to win titles?

If so, how long do we have to wait to determine if that guy is good enough? People that we would call lesser coaches have done it within their first two seasons. I think 3 years is enough. But what do other people think? 6 years? 12 years?

6 seasons would be an extraordinarily long time to afford a coach that hasn't ever done anything of note. I'd like to know why this guy is deserving of that amount of time.

Competing? I'm so sick of this word. What you mean is winning. Lsu was in driver's seat for a division title last year, into November.

Lsu could hypothetically go 11-1 the next two seasons, not win the division or conference, or get a playoff spot. You saying O should be fired?

I don't like this line of thinking. We can't just sit around and wait foe Saban to retire and just stay with what we have if it isn't good enough. We can't just give up because another team is too good. Other teams have beat them. There's no reason that LSU can't do it too. We just signed a top 5 class and have another committed now. What would be the reason to not be in the playoffs or win the West in the next 3 years?

Yes it is. That's exactly what I said.

That would be 3 years to make it to 5 seasons. It should at least be a topic of discussion and not a laughing matter which is exactly what I said.

Exactly. Other teams have beaten bama. We struggle to score a point against them. How long does the coach get before we expect to at least score against them on our home field.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect that we put some points on the board and look like we have a pulse against them.

If saying that makes be biased against Orgeron, then I’ll own it.

You're sick of the word competing? That is telling.

So no different than Les Miles's last full season.

Well they could but that would be unlikely. I'd like to know how many teams In SEC history went 11-1 in two consecutive seasons and didn't at least win the division.

If he goes 11-1 and people are still complaining then you'll have a point. We'll see if he can do it.

I'm saying he isn't going to be fired if he goes 22-2 over the next two years. Anyone that says differently is trolling

Ok.

And then we got beat 29-0 in Tiger Stadium.

Then lost another game to an 8-4 team that we had beaten five in a row with a first year HC (that has won an NC and is known as an offensive innovator and quarterback guru).

So no, we didn’t “compete” for anything last year any more than we did in 2015.

Dude STFU on Les Miles. You bitch at people that bring him up, yet here we are.

You are like a broken record on this site. How much you make doing this?

Dude stay on topic. Don't get flustered.

You think you're going to bring up us being in the "driver's seat" in November last season and someone isn't going to bring up the fact that the last coach in his last season was in the same position?

Also, I'd like to know how many SEC teams went 11-1 in consecutive years and didn't win at least a division title. It's almost impossible.

Why do people dream up these ridiculous scenarios for this coach?

I agree with you... but LSU has not figured out BAMA... they are who you need to go through to win the west.. agreed.... we may beat them at some point... I just don’t think it’s this year... We are loaded and so is Bama.... I would love to see is beat them and have a 2011 type season...

Where in the hell did lsu finish the season ranked in 2015? 2018? They collapsed in 2015. Had they not collapsed your hero would likely not have been fired after 2-2 to start 2016.

I think that's the point though. If it hasn't been figured out after year 5, is it really so crazy to talk about replacing the coach?
