don't get your percentages mixed up. the embarassing posts are not the opinion of the majority of LSU fans; not even close. these guys are naive and inexperienced in the side of life that deals with this stuff. but anyone with a computer can sit on the sidelines and critisize the participants in life. the anonimity (sp) is a bonus for these "life watchers".

How did you feel after the UAB loss? Miracle on Markham? Iowa? We had a good coach then, we have a good one now. I'm no fan of this raise, but I'm happy Les plans on spending the rest of his career in BR. Let's hope he earns his new paycheck by exceeding the realists' expectations.

Hey, I love the elite level of success LSU has experienced since 05 and if Les hasn't had a pay raise since 08, then he certainly is due one.
Way too much crying bout a pay raise for one of the very most successful guys in the game after no money increase since 08, but what's new in that for the emotionally challenged crowd.

You are full of crap.
College football is part of the entertainment industry and winning a big part of that. MOST fans realize what Les is and accept that, albeit with a possbile desire for improvement in some areas. I pay the ticket price, TAF donation, parking fees and attend every home game & many away games. I buy concessions and merchandise. What we deserve for the prices that many of us pay is a program that competes every year and is viewed as a model of integrity and professionalism from the staff, and complete dedication and preparation from the student athlete. I deserve to be proud of the manner in which the players, coaches and staff conduct themselves and their ability to express themselves as good representatives of a great university, which includes articulate and cogent interviews.
Anything less than that falls short of what WE deserve and should expect, and should not be tolerated by coaches and administration. Or by the fans, who sometimes give these "celebrities" a free pass bacause they are in such awe of them. Set the expectation bar high, provide the resources to reach it, inspect what you expect and enjoy the fruits of the effort.

The majority of the negativity doesnt come from true fans. There are 92k fans in the stands on a given Saturday night. Only about 100 max post on here.

Uh...yea! Bama fans would not say a word if Lil Nick's pay was bumped to 10 million a year! Bama football is their total existence ahead of God, family, etc. Coaches pay is unreal right now, but so are pro players in many sports. It's what the market allows and as long as they have public support ($), the pay will continue to go up. You really can't blame any individual from asking top dollar....we would all do the same in their shoes!
