Take out both of Fournettes games against Alabama the last two seasons (Guice barely played them) and then run those numbers again. It won't be a surprise to see a huge spike in Fournettes numbers.

When you start saying, "well if you ignore bad game X" you've already lost your argument. You don't just get to ignore poor performances. If you're going to take out Fournette's worst game then you have to take out Guice's as well (Ole Miss). Do that, and he still averages .7 YPC better than Fournette on more carries for the year.

Fournette is an amazing back, but to dismiss the notion that Guice is, or could be, as good or better is stupid. Plain and simple.

Guice is great, but he's not better than Fournette. Just because he put up better stats in a year where Fournette was NEVER healthy doesn't make him better. He's very good, but it does a disservice to both players to keep repeating this.

I agree, Fournette was a once in a generation talent, he was utilized wrong and we didnt even throw to him out of the backfield where he could really do some damage in space... He will be a hall of fame back imo.. he has it all.. guice does run with some violence which is great but not sure how much his body can take long term... but he isnt in the realm of Fournette.. Fournette consistently ran vs 8 in the box and played in one of the worst offenses that you can play in..

He said 'Top players to watch", not "best players ". Reading comprehension is your friend.

Must be his and Bama fans' top player to watch, because he's probably the third most thought about "RB" in CFB. I can assure you that more eyes will be on Mayfield, Jackson, Darnold, and Barkley.
