Agreed, but pretty hard to play man with unexpected footing.

I love LSU just as much as the next guy and in no way am I a negatiger but Joe haden is a better pure corner than Peterson

Its pretty easy to defend when the QB is throwing at the feet and the WRs arent catching anything. The receivers were open quite a bit though.

Neither did La Tech, Tulane, Vandy and even UL for that matter

eric berry is a safety but would be a better corner than PP , but PP would be a better safety than Eric Berry. PP is playing out of position. STarting lineup LB Coleman, Jones, Riley. Safteys : PP, Brandon Taylor. corners: Claiborne, Hawkins. = 2 loss season.

True stuff, but I truly believe Penn straight up outplayed us. They did the right the things and put themselves in decent position to win. Of course, we don't piss away the clock on the last drive we could have won too, but I thought they played much better than we did.

It was a great play. They used his aggressivness against him. The QB roll-out,to his side, then the reciever faked the block on PP,then went on by. It was a great set-up,and they we're betting he would bite, and he did.

This is so wrong, I think PP would be a better safety than he is corner but to say he would be better than Eric Berry is a stretch.

That's the difference in our coaching and their coaching, they used the field against us, we largely used it against ourselves on offense, and then when we were open, the receivers looked liked they dipped their hands in butter, with the gloves they use now days, the wet ball shouldn't have been an issue.

Good for you, I disagree. I'd take Peterson over Haden any day.
And please define "pure corner".

I agree with that. Anyway PP is not a pure true corner by any stretch and I dont see why he is playing corner other than we are more loaded at safety than corner back.

Man to man cover skills, playing off, or press coverage. Pat is a better run supporter, I'll give him that
Posted on 1/3/10 at 1:53 am to Gerard Allemand
combination of both
peterson is a bigger, more physical corner, better in man to man
i also think he slacks off against lesser WR's and usually makes up for it by being a freak athlete, but the field conditions neutralized his athletic ability
he's the best corner in college football, fluke game...he'll be back next year and completely shut shite down

Not sure what happened but the whole team looked unfocused. PSU played awful and gave LSU every chance in this game. There were at least 5 dropped INT's, not to mention the dropped passes on offense. Just a total lack of focus all the way around.

Both teams suffered from drop passes, dropped interceptions, missed footing. I am probably only one who loved the muddy field, was a throw back sorta. I mean these are football players, they play in mud, cold, snow, rain, and shine.
Penn State just made the drive when it counted at the end.
