I don't know what to say. Finebaum is usually very supportive of LSU and it's program.

I don't think you'll think this once he is working with our kind of talent.

I'm not sure that I agree with this ,at least yet.

Uh..yeah...I'd like to at least see a game before making that call.

LSU is a threat to his base. He needs ratings. Who cares.

That defense didn't give up a touchdown until the final few minutes of the game...

the lingering question that will only be answered by time is, "can the LSU defensive staff properly gameplan and can they make the adjustments to the scheme in-game that are needed?"

spot on. with better personnel on the front 7 we should be a better defense overall.what blows my mind is why we can't recruit LB's and have struggled with DL recruiting also. with chavis gone I think our recruiting of the front 7 improves. I don't a drop off in our position coaching (it probably improves) so game day coaching is the ultimate test.

Elite coaches don't need elite talent to look good. Bob Shoop has managed a top 25 defense in 3 years at Vanderbilt and 1 year at Penn State.

Steele had plenty of talent at Clemson, especially when you consider some of the teams they were playing in the ACC.

that's stupid and really doing a disservice to that game.

the failure of that game was on Miles and his offense.

What? They held them to 5 field goals. The touchdown came when time had just run out on us. If the O could have managed a touchdown at any point, we would have been back in the game. 21-0 is NOT a good reflection of how the Defense played.

Anyway, I liked Chief while he was here. Now he's not so Frick him and A&M. And Frick Finebaum for being a troll.

Some LSU fans just like to rewrite history with purple and gold paint.

Chavis didn't recruit at all.

I think Chavis to Steele is a downgrade. With the talent LSU has, maybe it will be negligible.

Exactly. That dude hates LSU and laughs at Baton Rouge every chance he gets.

Not really.

ETA: And who cares about Finebaum. His show is The Jerry Springer show of the sporting world.

Listened to Paul Finebaum for the 1st time night before last. Heard his make this comment comparing Steele to Chavis, and only time will tell.

What I found amusing were the caller to the show. It was straight up Jerry Springer sports talk radio.
