Those young guys haven't been the starters though. They came in against UF because of more injuries.

I think your mind is closed. our youth and inexperience IS a problem, esp on the OL. it FORCED Canada to play uber conservatively. you may blame Etling for that but he was not getting much time to hit receivers and most of those were simply not open. florida has some damn good db's.
it does appear to me that our young OL guys are more talented tho and that should pay dividends toward the seasons end. we may stink against AU and bama but we have a real good shot to beat everyone else on our schedule.

we have 3 freshman playing OL and about 11 players on scholarships .. most schools have 15-16
FWIW
And how did that happen?

well you won his point for him. We have been average the last 3 years, so we haven't worked through anything and your wrong sometimes the best coaching in the world can't overcome youthful mistakes. I guess people are not better at job they have been at one year compared to if they have been 10 years. experience matters in everything you do in life. Good coaching can help some, but a lot of these kids come out of small high school stadiums and are not use to the pressure of college football yet and the pressure of winning at this level. You get the occasional kid who it doesn't bother and thats why they are special. So yes experience matters

Inexperience wasn't a legitimate concern on the OL until Saturday. Before then our "experience" level was better than most.
And there didn''t appear to be any noticeable drop off in OL play with all the freshmen.

Not sure if anyone has noticed this, but remember that 3 star OL from Mississippi who flipped to Bama right before the dead period a couple of years ago? Matt Womack? He's Bama's starting RT right now. Sure would be nice to have him.
