PETA refers to fish as 'Sea Kittens' so kids won't eat fish and provide for the fishing industry.
PETA and PETA idiots

Wow they have finally let through some of the comments, and actually responded to the one i sent. With saying how that they have to review them and stuff, but that still didn't answer why mine got onto the website even though i sent it way after ya'll did, but keep them sending.
And P.S. don't send death threats, he said that he already got one and he sent it to the cops, but then returns it w/ if you did he would shot the person in return haha

"Slavery was once a grand tradition in this country as was racism and women refusing to leave abusive husbands.

Just from the "what it's worth department" this is what I posted as a comment to this article.
quote:
Folks, you are all missing the very point of this article. Organizations like PETA, as well as individuals like this author of the article, while they masquerade under the guise of concern for the “ethical” treatment of animinals, their main objective is simply to exert control over the actions of others. In other words, main stream American is both too ingnorant and too selfish to make logical, rational decisions for ourselves. Therefore, groups like PETA and other left-wing organizations and individuals go about their merry way trying to deprive the rest of us of our unalienable rights written by our Forefathers and guaranteed by our Constitution. Unfortunately, many of our rights have already been eroded away and it is this very fact that only strengthens those wishing to insert themselves into the daily lives of free, law abiding Americans.

yeah death threats are just stupid, no matter if you were "kidding" or not, they shouldn't even be considered
but adding in the shotgun was just childish
still, odd that the comments only appeared after you commented on how bias they were and how they tried to play it off as "they had to be reviewed"

I know but I thought they would either not post mine either or post mine but then be forced to put all the other ones up as well. And all I wanted to do is make sure the people who read this article at least get a little info about the treatment of Mike, considering the guy who wrote this was all talk and no evidence, and full of lame metaphors that sucked

But I'm sre they will know put up all the obnoxious posts just to prove the point that LSU people are crazy, and what gives not putting up the death threat message if you are going to comment about it. Why should we believe that this message even occurred? and that they aren't just saying it to make us look stupid or dumb

My response:
"To Mike Jaynes:
"I was pleased to have a small part in bringing PETA into the fight in Louisiana to outlaw the brutal hog/dog rodeo and I was equally pleased to see the organization fight against cock fighting, just as I was when I used my newspaper to publicize the alleged shooting of pets in St. Bernard Parish after Hurricane Katrina; in which I used another animal rights group's information.
"I support your right to your opinion but I have to say that with all of the animal abuses in this country - and around the world for that matter - I would've thought there were more important issues that could be addressed rather than attacking universities that have live mascots that are loved, revered and treated to the best food, medical care and environments that the universities' supporters can afford. Which is substantial, for your information.
"In fact, I put it to you that you should use your energy, your funds and your cyber space to attack the problem of pet over-population in our cities. Each day, thousands of cats and dogs starve to death on our streets and thousands of others are euthanized.
"If you were truly concerned about animals this would be a more worthy subject. Of course, there just isn't as much publicity involved and that would amount to fewer contributions."

Check out my new signature image and message.
Mike Jaynes should be praising us for protecting Mike from these poachers.

So, in order to try and convince LSU to change its practices, he decides to insult as barely literate? Well, that probably was a bad tactic.
And I hate to be lectured on what is best for animals by an English professor. He's not an expert by any stretch of the imagination.

I have had it with minority thinkers (not Black or Asisan or Indian) I mean minority thinkers having such an effect on majority thinkers. Why not the majority stand together and tell groups like PETA etc... to go the hell away and stay away. We, the Majority, are not interested in your small trouble making non productive inabilities which you push upon us. Let people live their lives and enjoy. You, Peta, have to have some type of drama in your life constantly. Geaux away and let people who enjoy life live it.
Geaux now, just geaux the hell away.

Auburn, Clemson, and the University of Missouri have pledged to never use live tiger
I'm guessing that Auburn's live eagle mascot is acceptable to folks like PETA???? Can someone say "double standard"?

Sunil edited his own "death threat" out of his response. What a hypocrite.

Those PETA people and the general public are a bunch of dumbasses. You see some dog get killed, damn riots break out. fricking cat breaks a leg you get sentenced to 20 years in prison for animal abuse. But when a innocent child gets raped then killed you don't see a damn person protesting or giving a damn. fricking idiots care more about a hamster than a person

True. Mike is treated better than 90% of the population of our country.

I've always equated Mike the Tigers lifestyle with human slavery and spousal abuse.
But thats PETA - they put animals above humans.
