Who the heck thought that CLM was a good hire to replace Saban? I'm sure not many, but after he kept winning everyone miraculously thought he was one of the best coaches in the nation. This could be a similar scenario. Nobody knows the real reason why CLM hired him; I'm sure it just wasn't because we couldn't get anyone else. We'll see what he can do soon enough

Louisiana State University should not be shooting for doubles in the gap. Sorry.

Steele's defenses at Clemson got progressively complicated to a point where players appears not to know what they were doing.
Chavis' defenses are known for being simplistic to the point of just letting athletes play.
Steele - Baylor and the Orange Bowl follows him. Clemson did turn the ball over 4 times with one being a 99 yard fumble return.
Chavis - 3rd and Chavis follows him. How many games lost in the 4th quarter..and not just LSU? Found this gem:
2006 LSU vs Tenn at Tenn
"LSU QB JaMarcus Russell threw a touchdown pass with 9 seconds remaining to give the LSU Tigers a 28–24 victory over Tennessee. The Vols looked good at times during the game, but could not make a stop on LSU's final drive of the game, which consumed 7:14 from the clock."
The more things change, the more things stay the same.
