Since that doesn’t apply to Hughes it shouldn’t be an issue then.

Hunt Palmer, dat you?
(Your OP was pretty spot on with Hunt’s take on the lineup on Hangin’ with Hester. Of course looking at the time of your last few posts, you would have to be posting while on the air. Lol)

Cabrera in centerfield sounds stupid. He is slow.

He's not. I had said underneath that it wasn't updated and I knew McMurray was one of the ones wrong. I have the fully updated one if you want to see it.

Slow would be an inaccurate statement. Not as fast as the burners we usually have under Mainieri would be true though.

Gio did struggle making a quick read and taking a good angle at times last season. If Cabrera is exceptional at both of those things, then it cancels out the lack of speed missing with Gio there.

I wouldn't have thought him in CF was likely (and I still think it'll be Gio to start) but it came out of Mainieri's mouth directly and it has been shown they are trying it with Cabrera in CF in some scrimmages.

The only argument I could see against Henry on Friday is whether he can consistently give you 7+. With his injury scares last season, if we handle him with kids gloves and pull him in the 5th because he ran up his pitch count, we could be depleting our pen early in a series.

Its a great problem to have, debating whether an arm like Henry is a Friday guy or not.

His batting avg dropped 50 pts in 2019 from the previous year.

Biggs is legit. He was a stud at West Monroe and can obviously hit the ball with a lot of power. Keep in mind He is dropping bombs off guys in our rotation.

I thought that was a possibility as well, but I think we would see him there in scrimmages. The fact that he hasn't tells me it is not an option.

I think we all expect Hampton to be in the mix somewhere in the OF. He is going to have to fight some guys off and earn it when he arrives though. I don't think he's walking into a starting spot at all.

cool. He also had a very good end to his season in the Cape Cod league and has carried that into a productive fall.

To say there are no signs of improvement is ignorant. Now that you've been educated on the signs of improvement, you are no longer ignorant. You can still not like Hughes, but now your hyperbole will just make you look like an a-hole.

If you want to prop the guy up because of 6 games in the playoffs where he hit .319 then go for it but in 88 season AB’s in the Cape he hit .170 which is the same he hit in 2019 @ LSU ok cupcake! Don’t put yourself on a pedestal bc you think you know more than everybody when it comes to baseball on a fricking message board.
