UF is really pretty good, just got beat by a team that's a little better
i agree with that.

Do you guys think UF is NCAA worthy?
yes, and i think that both teams could raise some eyebrows in the tourney, if they are playing their A game. no matter rpi, sos, or whaatever measure you want to use, i think that the sec is considerably better than a lot of people think it is.

Do you guys think UF is NCAA worthy? What do you think their chances are down the stretch?
I think UF is definitely tournament worthy and will get in barring a complete collapse. I think Florida is young but talented. One thing that may hurt you in the tourney is having a freshman point guard. But sometimes young inexperienced players play with such abandon that they forget they are freshmen. I think Florida is talented enough that if your young players don't succumb to the pressure then the sweet 16 is possible and with a super run then maybe an elite 8 run. My best guess is that sweet 16 is most likely best case scenario.

for the most part, you guys are really jerks.
Anyone can get on a message board a be a dillhole to someone just because they happen to like another team. How about a little class every once in a while?
Is it really that hard to just agree or disagree or offer an honest opinion without showing your arse like a 4th grader?
Dude, if you think THOSE responses were classless, you need to:
a) get WAY thicker skin, and
b) never ever come onto this site
because those posts were nothing.

Here is something else for you to whine about.

Pretty sensitive. If you count, most of the replies were positive regarding Florida's abilities.
I see why you don't come here often because you tend to only focus on the negative and not see the positive. If your expecting 100% positive, this is not the place for you.

Calathes may have had a subpar game, but I was there and he looked like he wanted to get into the fetal position in the 2nd half; didn't show much toughness and I would estimate half of his points came from defensive breakdowns, not superior play on his part. Solid kid but didn't react well to Temple's "in your jock" defense in the 2nd half. If that = a subpar night, so be it. You know the kid better than we do.
Don't look at Thornton's performance as a fluke; he has the ability to shoot under pressure and without being settled in his stance night after night. I am amazed at how he does that on a consistent basis.
Regardless, I'd say Fla is a tourney team.

To the person that commented on how many "backhanded comments" I made...what in the hell are you talking about?
Let me count the ways:
1.
quote:
I actually think UF and LSU are about equal
We beat you, we're ranked higher, we have a better record...but we're about equal.
2.
quote:
if you consider that Thornton and Mitchell hit some absolutely ridiculous shots
Thornton shot well, but to say those shots were ridiculous is a slap in his face. They may have looked unbelievable, but those are fairly commonplace.
Mitchell had an awful shooting performance. As I said before, if he were hot, this wouldn't have been a game.
3.
quote:
Calathes was subpar
He actually looked pretty good until we put the stopper on him in the 2nd half. Again, your comment takes away from Temple's flawless defense in the 2nd half.
Well, that takes care of your first paragraph and I am now bored with you. Goodbye.

This guy asked a serious question and I'm going to answer it because despite him being a Gator fan. With that said, I do think UF is tournament worthy. Catalais a legit player for sure. Next year I think they can again make a run in the tourney, but for this year I don't know where they are. Main thing to look at is there doesn't seem to be one superstar on the team. That's a good thing.

I guess now I remember why I stay away from this place.
Dude, don't you have this backward?
Until you posted the above at the bottom of the first page, "FOR THE MOST PART", to use your words, the replies were not flames.
Even after you posted that, you STILL had many postive or neutral posts.
I will NEVER NEVER NEVER fricking understand why grown men on a message board ONLY pay attention to the minority flame posts and not the majority of normal ones; then, they paint millions of people of a large state university's fan base as of one personality or character, because 10-15 people out of 50 "flamed" him on a message board.
Unbelievable.
