There is a reason why ACC #3 choice gets paired up with SEC #5 (non-BCS) choice.
It's because a pretty good ACC team is generally an even match up with a mediocre SEC team.
---------------------------------------------------
This is a fallacy, but of course it needs to be proven on New Year's Eve. The SEC is mediocre to bad this year save your top 3-4 teams. In years past, this may have been the case, but as of right now I don't think it's a good assessment.
Also, the CFA Bowl picks the #2 ACC team versus the #5 SEC. It's embarrassing, but that just puts it on the ACC to legitimize itself. It's a young conference though, with 3-5 teams knocking on the door of reaching that upper echelon. Mark it down: Tech, UNC, Miami, and FSU will all be high level contenders next year and I think the ACC will be one of the best conferences in the game. It begins on the eve of the New Year.

You are stretching my man. High level? What do you mean, will they all have one or two losses and jockey for position at the top of the polls? If so, I think you are lacking in the College Football Analysis Department.

Everyone says the same thing about FSU and Miami every year...so who knows if/when they will ever get "back"
But UNC and GT are coming off pretty good seasons with fresh coaches. GT is returning all 11 on offense and 8 on defense. UNC is similar.
We will both be in the top 10 at some point next year and one of us will be mentioned as at least a "darkhorse" for the MNC(ala TTU this year)...I would put $ on it.

I would say the same thing if the shoe was on the other foot.

That was the first thing to get me pumped up since we lost to Florida and jarrett lee started throwing int every pass

maybe, but I doubt both schools will pull that off. look, I think the ACC is on the way up, in general, but I don't see this happening due to the fact that the other "pretty good" teams you mentioned will lay a couple losses on GT and UNC. I really like watching your coach do his thing and Butch Davis is methodical in his building of a program but you may be off a year or two. The ACC will have to earn it's lost respect back to get the two top tens and the NC darkhorse level for it's top three or four teams. Just MHO.

Why are we playing against a Tiger team that LIMPED to the finish line. We're 9-3 and were a stone's throw away from playing in and possibly winning the ACC title game. Loser State University is 7-5. What a slap in the face. Why did UGA draw a New Year's Day game versus a legit 9-3 Michigan State club and we're stuck with a SUCKY matchup versus LSU New Year's Eve? THIS STINKS. WE BEAT GEORGIA! WE'RE RANKED HIGHER. We want a REAL team to play!!!"
I think he has a good point

I say Les should post them on every locker!
yup!!! Then maybe, just maybe, our boys will get fired up enough to beat them...Because if we play the way we have since the BAMA game, Ga. Tech will rape!

LSU is a very good team except for one player, the former QB.

...and...
dude, you are retarded to say that we are better than BAMA...the only thing that kept us in that game is the fact that our boys actually stepped up for once in the season and played with some heart! We were outcoached offensively and outplayed defensively...bottom line!

This feels a lot like the decision process that led to co-coordinators last year.
and his wonderful decision making process that took way toooo long to "let Perrilloux go".

Exactly. How many tackles did JL make after his picks.
the better question is, how many tackles did the other 10 offensive players on the field make after his picks???

How do you explain a "more experienced" Jordan Jefferson playing the entire game against a much weaker Arkansas team and yet we lost?
Ding, ding, ding, and the winner is....... not the defense. JJ and J Lee, who i still believe is a talented QB getting left out to dry by his coaches, team, and fans, were both capable to get us 9-10 wins. The DEFENSE was the greatest disappointment of '08.

We didn't even make it to the finish line in my opinion.

Where do people get this? When did Charles Scott, Jordan Jefferson, Jarret Lee, Rahim Alem, Derry Beckwith, Richard Murphy, Brandon LaFell, Richard Dickson, Patrick Peterson, Jai Eugene, Kevin Sheppard, Herman Johnson, Steven Ridley, Keiland Williams, Charles Alexander, Colt David, Terrence Tolliver, Jared Mitchell, Trindon Holliday, Daniel Graff, Ryan Baker, Pep Livingston and all the rest behave like "spoiled children" or exhibit a "me me me" attitude?
the problem is, one of the kids you conveniently left out should have been a senior leader this year, but instead he made comments to the effect of JL blowing his chances of being a first round pick, blah, blah, blah! (He even stooped as low as to start yelling at the coaches when they would tell him to play harder...he had the worst attitude this year). While acting like this, he started to rub off on the rest of the team...this was very evident after the BAMA game!!! Need i say who this kid is???

it is called horrible offensive play-calling! Did Crowton call any long pass plays after JJ threw that bomb to Lafell for the TD in the beginning of the third??? NOPE! Crowton was so scarred from the play of Lee that he couldn't truly let the handcuffs off of JJ! He tried to fix something that wasn't broken! The horrible defensive play didn't help out either though!

Not sure whay everyone is in such an uproar. Much worse is often said about opposing teams here.

Houston, we have a problem...actually TWO.

we have as much talent on this team as anyone in college football. we should have played a lot better this year but i believe we have some coaching problems and too much youth in key positions but if we can clear this up we should win this game going away.
