I don't want to degrade Appy St. because they are a hell of a program for the competition they play against. They simply don't have the horses to match up with us though. I don't see how they could stop us if we decided to run the ball 75% of the time in that game, I really don't. They might even score 20 points, I think they will have a really hard time keeping us under 40 though. Again, keeping the game within 14 will be a big accomplishment for them IMO. I do think they probably win their National Championship again though.

Same here, I wouldn't degrade them.

Thank you Palm Beach Tiger and LSUDAD...Great comments

I agree as an App fan that we "don't have the horses" to match up with LSU. I believe we have a good team and I will pull for my team no matter what, but I do think that we will not win, which is fine with me. I would absolutely love to beat LSU, but I don't think it's going to happen and that's alright with me. I will know that our guys played their butts off...

It was 97 degrees in Ann Arbor that day. Not humid like the swamp, but very hot. Just FYI.

We're coming to play football against the best team in the country. We may lose but we are not coming not to play. LSU fans know who we are, the team knows who we are and Miles knows who we are...and are having to prepare for us. Some fans even have gone to the trouble to research our graduating players and their stats! How you play against us will dictate how you play against Auburn. We may get beat by a bunch or keep it close but we will get the Tigers best shot and that shows respect. We are better than last year but I don't think it will be enough. Possible to beat LSU, Yes. Probable? No. But I said that as I was walking into The Big House last year too.

Les Miles has more than 2 weeks to prepare a gameplan. ask OSU, ND, Miami how that was.

i will agree that appy st is a good team, you dont accomplish what they did last year with out some talent and ability to accomplish the things you practice. I do feel that the win over Michigan was a fluke. not to take anything away from them. Mi was not ready nor did they respect the talent of appy st. The Tigers do. So think it will be nasty when appy st gets in to Tiger Stadium. Good luck but just dont see it being a that much fun for appy st fans to watch.

Arizona came into Tiger Stadium early in the year expecting to mount a charge against the Tigers too...got their asses handed to them quickly, 21-0 in the 1st quarter. I know AZ is a much better team than Appy, but this just helps make my point.

A fresh, injury free Miles coached Tiger team early in the season is a very dangerous opponent, just ask Moo St. and Va Tech.

True that. Dont think you guys will get anything less that the Tigers best. Which is why we think we will win. But you do deserve the respect after what you have accomplished.

I know how LSU has KILLED some opponents in their first game BUT I have also read that they have had tough first games and have had problems with mobile QB's.

Which LSU team will show up ?

How will APP handle the pressure in the first half ?

Players and coaches will show us on Aug 30.

I hope APP makes it exciting for both teams fans.

Thanks for Hosting APP again, I really loved the last time we came in 2005 !!

We'll have a great time and have our moments on the field and will cash that $800,000+ check as soon as we can get to the bank.

Then we will get ready for a run for our 4th National Championship and you will get ready for a brutal SEC schedule and the real grousing can begin!!!!!!!

No it wasn't. It was in the mid 70s with a nice breeze.

We have LBs bigger than that. And that's saying a lot because we dont have big LBs. You better hope he doesn't have to line up against Ciron Black. Black made Vernon Gholston eat his own lunch.

He played linebacker at Vanderbilt, before moving to Defensive end for their spring game in 07. He was the star of the Vandy spring game at defensive end.....with 4 sacks and a fumble recovery.

He decided to transfer to App last summer, but Vandy wouldn't release his scholarship so he had to sit out a year.

With $50 mil. in renovations to the stadium, App. St. can use that money.

Note: Picked up a Dave Campbells 2008 Texas Football magazine, on page 14 is has a good write-up on the "Mountain Man" Jerry Moore. It talks about his playing days at Baylor. Coaching at SMU, N. Texas and Texas Tech.

I will probably be down there, but I won't be able to tailgate because I'm in the band. I would love to though...

thunderbird1100: Were you at the Michigan game? Maybe it was just me because I had on a uniform, but that was one hot football game. It was not mid 70s no matter what any website says...I don't almost pass out when it is only 75 outside...

Jerry Moore represents the good in college athletics and is the kind of coach you would want for your sons or daughters. Our guys look at him like a father figure, and he treats them like sons. I would not trade him for another coach, in any division.

Its not that we cant get bigger guys to play that position. That is the player type we like to use.Our guys go up against guys bigger then them on a regular basis. Although yall take it to the next level cause you got some big boys for real.I was just clarifying.
