Hilarious. Woodward will talk out of one side of his mouth about how important it is was to fire Will Wade to uphold the integrity of the program and university when at the end of the day his worst crime was giving teenagers money to play basketball. Out of the other side of his mouth, he still employs Verge Ausberry who covered up rape which actually, you know, ruined womens' lives. Woodward only cares about his people. He fits right in with all of Louisiana politicians and leaders who are buddy, buddy and are trusted by the general public because he's "one of us."

Woodward is the most overrated AD in the country. Have his teams won anything.... anywhere?

My opinion has not changed. Woodward is all about the Department as a whole, no coach is above the athletic department. Particularly the third most important sport with a coach who continued to skirt the rules.
As much as I like the product Wade put on the floor most of the time, he was stupid in how he handled his business.
Woodward waited until LSU was done in the SEC tournament. Nothing about this is ideal due to the timing. The goal now is to minimize any collateral damage.

The jury is still out on Woodward. He will be judged primarily on the Kelly hire. If Kelly, Johnson and Mulkey have the success that is expected this deal with Wade and LSU Basketball will blow over even if Mens Basketball is mediocre.
