Some ignorant sports writer in the last week said Saban advising Kiffin might be a conflict of interest. Why, I have no idea.
So this morning Saban says he never tells anybody what they should do. He asks what they want and tries to clarify the decision for them.
Then McAfee says he was sending Kiffin texts urging him to stay at Ole Miss. Where’s the writer claiming a conflict about this? Crickets.

It wasn’t a legal opinion. It is fact. I didn’t say criminal which may have confused you. I said illegal. It is illegal and thereby subject to civil law (tort) to use the threat of breach to coerce the other party to sign an extension. It creates an unfair advantage and undermines the concept of "free will" in contracts.

Ole Miss would have had a better shot of making a run in the playoffs if they let Kiffin coach. Also, it would have hurt LSU for early national signing day. Very short sighted of them.
They got all up in their feelings.

Not true. Carter admitted that he knew what LK was doing weeks before the after hours meeting at the house.
And he ended up hiring his DC who none of the other 8 athletic directors with a coaching opening even considered?
Ole Miss, who consistently had a top 10 offense in college football and a 50th or worst ranked defense decided to just promote the defensive coordinator.
That’s a bold move, Cotton.
