FWIW as far as I'm aware Ive never said what you quoted me about JJ... if you are so sure of it, just link it... if not apologize and stfu.
What I have said is, that IMO... he is mediocre.
Ive said that JJ and JL have been the biggest obstacel LM has had to overcome in the past two years.
Im sorry if you mistake fact for "falling of the deep end"
as far as the baseball post I made... at the time it was true.
Pitching is key and its been bad this season.
Maybe next time I should preface my post by adding (if pitching doesnt improve) season is over... however im sure some of you would hate that, b/c then you wouldn't get to feel like the big winner on a message board.

Not sure why you have such a hard time catching on to that.

Actually, we did a few years ago, got to host a Super because the national seed we were paired with didn't make it out of their regional. Of course, we hosted a regional that year so...I suppose it is possible to end up hosting a Super if you don't host a regional if the other school doesn't bid.

ESPN is projecting us to play in Fort Worth with TCU, and A&M

The answer to your question is yes, you can host a Super Regional without hosting a Regional.
In 2007 Mississippi State was a 2 seed at national seed Florida State and won the Regional. Clemson was a 2 seed at Coastal Carolina and won the Regional setting up a national seedless MSU vs Clemson Super Regional pairing. Who should host? Clemson felt that they should host the Super Regional as they had the better record and RPI. In the end MSU was awarded the Super Regional.
In the furor raised by Clemson fans at the awarding of the Super Regional to MSU (then MSU AD Larry Templeton was on the NCAA selection committee) accusing Templeton of all sorts of dishonorable things the following was revealed by other NCAA representatives. Any time MSU was being discussed Templeton, being the gentleman that he was and still is, excused himself from the room and while RPI, Strength of Schedule, etc do determine who is awarded a Regional Host there is one determining factor for any Super Regional Host sites that need to be determined (i.e. when a National Seed looses). That factor is money.
Comparing MSU's Super Regional Host bid bringing to the table their virtually unlimited capacity with their left field lounge and long history of record setting crowds to Clemson's bid was a no-brainer for the money lusting NCAA.
Therefore given LSU's facility and fans I would think if/when they win their Regional as long as they are not locked into going to a Super Regional hosted by a national seed the chances of them being awarded a Super Regional Host would be very good.

well, Clemson lost today & plays GTech tomorrow. if tech beats em that's 0-3 for them n the ACC tourney. clemson gonna still host if that happens?

It would be 18-16 at that point.

whatever... Hawthorne is the only sports announcer I want to listen too. I hate that I cant get the lsu sports network up here in Hoover. Hawthore is as legendary at LSU as Tommy Hodson or Micheal Clayton. You think he sucks, wait until 15-20 years from now when another announcer takes the helm....
