quote:

Hester ran 9 times for 50 yards. Pretty good numbers

i'm not saying it was bad numbers

keiland had a 46 yard TD that hester couldn't dream of scoring, when our offense was sucking dick, and then he was benched

that pass-TD actually gave our offense an emotional boost, but we lost all big play ability from the RB spot afterwards

it makes no sense

quote:

They stuck with the hot hand vs ARK..it was Hester

28 carries? keiland got 10, with a higher ypc.

and the thing about arky was that we used hester WAY too much and he had little to give by the end

that's the whole point of splitting up the carries, to avoid this situation

so it might not be the "hot" hand, but it violates another philosophy that miles supposedly uses

are there t-shirts for this yet? Do you get royalties?

I think that's clear. I'm not even sure what my own definition of it is, but last year was certainly not it. I think '06 was a lot closer.

A little OT, but Hester looked good last night for the Chargers. Dude is hardcore, and I think he's better than a lot of us thought. Looks like he'll be used in short yardage situations to spell LT a bit and save him some punishment.

ok, so 2 games out of 14 means that RBBC never happens in "reality"?

you may have the worst wording on this board

no i'm saying that there isn't a rhyme or reason in most situations why the #1 back isn't getting spelled

hell even short-yardage situations...hester lost that job early and it was keiland's. then hester got annointed the short yardage guy and didn't have to give it back up even when he was ineffective in some games

in some games the hot hand did get carries. in some games the obvious hot hand was ignored for a half

in some games we'd spell our #1 back in close games so that he'd be ready for the 4th. in some games we would use him up.

I didn't see it. I was ferociously posting in the "60's Music" thread on the O-T Lounge last night in an exuberant manner, which I must say developed into a most excellent music thread.
