As an every down back in the SEC in an offense that sucks arse, it is.

Probably. Don't see his stock going up. Good college back but I don't see him being much outside a pure North/South guy in NFL. He has literally no outside ability. He sees the holes but he has no acceleration/speed to hit them on the outside.

Thomas and Ivory pop/popped it outside plenty ..
And the 2 of them are out for the season right now. Ridley's durability will be an advantage. And I'm not sure what NFL you're watching. Most big plays are made through the passing game. There's only one Chris Johnson. RBs are used to move the chains and get the offens in 2nd and 3rd and short more than for making explosive plays.

I like Ridley, but I think it's best for him to go now. He's been at LSU for 4 years, and there are a number of reasons that his draft stock is at it's highest peak. He's likely a 3rd-4th round pick. Next year, with Ware and Ford, he's probably not gonna have the chance to rack up another 1000 yd season. Also, he risks being injured if he comes back, like Scott and KW.

I wish him nothing but the best, but by leaving, he opens up another slot for this season's recruiting class. We need it.

No, just his speed.

He's danced all year like that, he can just get away with it against some teams,
He never got it going against the respectable defenses we played.
Not really. McNeese and Auburn were his only bad games. I wouldn't say those are respectable defenses, at least not McNeese.

Ridley's not an NFL back? Probably the most retarded thing I've heard in awhile. I don't know why some people think that every rb has to run a 4.3 to be a successful NFL rb. Look at guys like Green-Ellis and Ivory. In today's NFL where teams split up carries, you can't tell me that Ridley isn't good enough to play in the league. He hits the hole hard and usually gets more out of a run than he should, plus he's pretty agile for his size. I could see a team taking him between the 3rd - 5th round.

I thought they were referring to his YPC this season ..

anything over 4.0 in NFL is good
college is different
ridleys YPC is under 4.0 against teams like bama, FL, aub, miss st, unc
thats not the sign of an elite back

we'll see soon enough .. I wish the kid the best and will be pleasantly surprised if he's a productive NFL back .. look at what tons of people projected for Charles Scott on here last year ..
a lot of people on here just don't get the chasm between D1 college football and the NFL ..

That's true. Danny McCray is a good example.

Maybe he wasn't the best of all time (he himself would be the last person to make that claim), but SR makes me proud to be an LSU fan. He has represented the university well, both on and off the field. I believe he'll be a success no matter which path he takes from here.

It was only under 4 against Florida, McNeese, Auburn and Bama. His avg looks bad against Florida because of a bad 4th quarter. Nice to know you don't remember how he ran against Miss. St and UNC but will still argue with other people.

if you add all those games up and average it out, it is under 4.0
FACT
I've done it 100 times

This is a true statement, I just left the football operations center and that discussion came up.

Lester, what "Facts" have you brought? You've been proved wrong so many times on th recruitig board, they should give you a small space to show people what not to look for.
