nah its not dumb. if u run a 4.9 an are a pocket passer u dont play reciever. It doesnt matter ur size
What if you are 7' with a 40" vertical?

I'm just wondering what took them so long for the move. He could have done that 3 years ago
Posted on 3/20/14 at 2:28 pm to BoCoTiger
My prediction is that he gets some decent playing time this year and averages a catch or two per game.

Give the guy a shot...if he wants it bad enough and has the tools....let him. He's sure not gonna see the field at QB and lord knows we're thin at WR. He certainly has the body type to withstand the punishment.

Hope the rant has a lot of beer ready this year because they're going to be drinking themselves to death after seeing this weak WR group. Better hope one of the young guys like Quinn/Dupre come in and tear it up...
QB is a big question but I think WR is a bigger problem right now. From what I've heard, nobody has looked good or even stands out yet. We're going to take some lumps and a lot of growing pains at WR/QB this season.

I think someone will IMHO. I certainly hope so. We've gotten spoiled with OBJ/JL/Mett over the last few years and anything short of that kind of production is gonna be seen as regression unfortunately.
I just don't wanna be one-dimensional as hell. That will make for a long year for sure.

Maybe he was switched because Peterson and Spears got hurt. Also maybe the coaches think the 3 QB's, vying for the spot, need all the reps they can get. Im not saying Bolden cant play WR, but it seems this is more about giving the WR's a breather and increasing quality reps for the other 3 QB's at the same time.

Can the guy run block? That is what this team is going to need. Am I right?

I can think of a few guys who played and are playing on Sunday that should of done this.
Tebow and Pryor right off. Give him a shot. Colston is about Boldens size and Graham played one year of college football. For him to play would not be unheard of or unprecedented.
I do wish they would move him to TE. Miles should have done the same with JJ. He took valuable reps away from the QB's we had.

rickyh, you got it. We ain't gonna be throwing a whole lot. Might as well put big wide receivers out there to block.

LSU just signed the #1 receiver class and has promising tight end in the mix as well.
The talent is there and if any position can excel young it's the position of playmaker

Just wondering for the people who think hes gonna be "a beast", would u have said the same if Stephen Rivers got moved to reciever? I mean his 6'8 220 shouldnt he be able to dominate Dbs too? or is there some other factor involved cuz last time i checked pocket passers cant move to reciever.
Just wondering could you be a bigger dumbass?

Does rob bolden throw a pass? I say les draws up something for him
Posted on 3/20/14 at 10:35 pm to Mshargois3
Point is just because he's black doesnt make him athletic. I tried saying it without saying it but forget it now. Just because he's a 6'4 200 pound black dude doesnt make him a big dominant reciever or that he will be one. If he would have been white the thread wouldnt have gotten made. Point blank. I just hate that all black qbs are asumed to be "athletes".

Except he actually is athletic. I don't think anyone is just assuming he's going to be dominant. That would be asinine.

he was a top dual threat qb coming out of hs in the entire nation. i'm sure he is athletic enough. he has a 40 time recorded at 4.5 and his vert is around 35 (which isn't super great, but it's legit enough for his size). from the early reports he is catching everything.
nothing wrong with him being a big body guy to catch some passes. we'll see how it all unfolds. i support the fact he does not regret transferring to LSU.
