Sounds like sour grapes. WR is a tough position for someone prone to drops.

I was extremely excited when RS signed, but he did not have a Div 1 SEC arm and Competition was tougher than he thought at other positions.

Jarrett Lee deserved PT, man, don't you think?? But you make it sound like it's the players fault, who hell knows what happened or why Miles does the shite he does. We'll never know.

Alright then, Shep isn't going to the NFL because he's not talented enough. Either way you slice this argument, LSU has a number of talented players make it to the NFL. This argument still holds no weight.

We all hoped he would develop into a better player... He just didn't. If he put up the results that Landry does then it wouldn't even be a discussion. He just got passed up by better players. It happens

"but he had some nice plays" and for each first down he got he had a dropped pass or loss of yards. He wasn't consistent and if he gotten a shitload of unproductive snaps then we'd all be around here bitching that miles needed to try someone else. He had 4 years and a huge benifit of the doubt to become a starter an just didn't pan out.

Sounds like he wants to believe it's the players fault.

I don't know, don't care. He was misused throughout his career which is obvious. That's all I care about.

He should have went to a different school where he would have fit into a better system. He's not even close to fitting into a pro style system

I agree. I would bet any "book" will deal with what he was promised when he came here.

Yeah because he played well vs. Alabama the first time.

Was coming to post this.

He would have been an effective QB at a program like Houston or maybe even a big 12 school like Baylor.

He's still a talented player. Wish him the best.

Awesome
don't put words in my mouth a-hole. Learn how to decipher a statement correctly and you would know what I was talkin about when I said players are responsible for placing their themselves in the NFL because of the skilss they possess. frick, you didn't even bother to read the part about Joe Horn, did college people help him get to the NFL?? frick No! Talent places people in the NFL, MLB, NBA! Tell me it doesn't and I'll call you a damn lie. Why do kids go straight from HS to the NBA?? It would be the same in the NFL if they didn't make them go to college, but even then they are only there for 2 years.

He has a higher rushing average than any of the running backs for his career. Seems like a creative coach would find some place for a guy with that kind of ability.

wtf is this shite?

What could bring LSU down by not playing someone who wasn't quite as good as expected?

The offense needs to creative and Miles needs to hire someone that will restore faith on that side of the ball.

I'm not saying he couldn't hav been used a little more efficiently. The plays he got were all basically end arounds. Of course he's going to have a better ypc than the guys running up the middle. The thing is, when he got the ball, people knew what was going to happen. Partly the coaches fault, partly his for not being big enough to run up the middle or being able to catch consistantly.

I'm not dogging shep. Love the kid and what he's about. But he isn't Percy harvin. Just saying he was a WR that didn't put up results like obj and Landry.

Now, why shep never took a snap at QB? Who knows. Especially during the JJ/Klee debacle. But we weren't practicing with them to know what he could do. Being a running QB in the SEC you best be top notch.
