We took some arse whippings from Florida during Spurrier's time there, but not in 97. LSU beat the No. 1 ranked Gators 28-21 in Tiger Stadium that year.

LSU is top 17 in wins the past 4 yrs among Power 5 teams and top 3 in wins in the SEC

What an arbitrary number in both cases. I always want to shoot for being third place. What an awesome goal. But Miles is a nice guy and would have been mistreated by getting a guaranteed $15 million on the way out so let's keep him.

I remember when Saban went onto the field and put his hands on Travis Daniels. I wanted him fired immediately. He crossed the line that day and I'm happy that our players haven't been treated in that manner under Miles.

Damn you are a pussy.

If I recall correctly, he absolutely praised Travis Daniels like 6 plays later and all was good

I also don't like when lsu makes a bone headed play and the camera pans to Miles and he is smiling.

Come on, dude. When Hawkins caught that pass it was funny. You mean to tell me you didn't laugh? I know i did.

It was funny but still no excuse for miles laughing on the sidelines. The most I have ever seen miles go nuts on a player was fournette after the Heisman pose. There are a number of sabans players from his days at lsu that would go through a brick wall for him. After all he is still a teacher. The respect he commanded from his players is why they win. I have talked to a player from the 2000 team that loves the man.

Nick is the poster child for Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Shove a lump of coal up his @ss and u pull out a diamond. His shtick is old. Good coach, miserable public persona.

That Georgia game was a one of the low points for LSU football. Nice little kick in the groin. Too bad Nick's process didn't work that day. And too bad he didn't coach Ronnie Prude that if he didn't know the call to stay as deep as the deepest receiver on the field. You know like he allegedly did after we lost to Iowa in his last game to have the privilege of coaching LSU.

And yes I own a pair of purple and gold glasses. Wear them every chance I get.

UGA kicked our butt that day, but they owed us for the SEC CG butt kicking from '03.

What an awesome goal

Nick was 3rd in SEC wins in the 3 yr. period before he left and 5th in the SEC in wins for his time at LSU.

Miles is 3rd in the SEC in wins for the last 4 yrs., the time period the poster I was responding to referenced, and 2nd in the SEC in wins for his time at LSU.

We all should know that SEC Miles has had to deal with has been much stronger than what Nick had to deal with while at LSU.

It's called trying to put things in perspective.

We all know that Miles 11 yrs. here has made 8 L's in 2 seasons of LSU football not acceptable.
